A transgender author has celebrated his throuple life as he shared snaps of himself with his trans girlfriend and trans wife – who also has her own trans girlfriend.

Rowan Jette Knox, 47, formerly known as Amanda Jette Knox, announced on his social media in August that he was ‘re-introducing’ himself as a trans man.

The Toronto-based writer and activist, who started taking testosterone earlier this year, followed in the footsteps of his husband-turned-wife and son-turned-daughter.

Responding to a prompt on Threads to post his significant other, Knox wrote: ‘Ok I have two though. Polyamory spoils me,’ alongside two dashing photos with his smiling trans wife, Zoe, and trans girlfriend, Dani.

Posting a recent update on his hormone changes, Knox said: ‘So here’s me at 47 years old, six weeks into my medical transition.

‘I’m slowly starting to look like the guy I always knew I was deep down and… well, it’s everything, really.’

He also made note of his intense hunger and now that his body is adapting to male hormones – writing in all capitals: ‘Why am I hungry all the time.’

Knox has been open on social media about his life changes, as well as his untraditional living arrangements.

After sharing the selfies with his partners, he said: ‘I always lose followers when I mention I’m polyamorous.

‘Being trans is fine, apparently, but having two consensual romantic relationships where my partners are great friends and we all live together and our house is full of love is BAD BAD ICKY WRONG BYE.’

Knox’s husband, previously his wife, is also trans. The couple, parents to a trans daughter, enjoy a four-way open polyamorous relationship with another transgender couple, who they also live with.

Knox’s wife Zoe was previously known as Mark, but came out as transgender in July 2015, after 19 years of marriage.

The pair’s daughter Alexis revealed that she was transgender in early 2014.

Rowan says he too was born in the wrong body, but that it took a long time to come to terms with his true gender.

Rowan and Zoe live with their transgender partners Dani and Dame in the same Toronto house. Dani and Dame are themselves a couple.

He describes the unusual relationship as a ‘polycule.’ He previously shared his delight at realizing he was non-binary before coming out as transgender and told PinkNews: ‘Trans joy is infectious’.

Speaking about starting testosterone, he told his followers: ‘The only way I can describe it is: the hormones in my body feel right for the first time in my life and it changes absolutely everything. The noise in my head has quieted. I am at peace.’

Knox wrote about first meeting Dani last year after reaching out to her for advice about his own experiences during that troubled time – and the two, according to Knox,  ‘bonded immediately in a way I rarely do these days.’

Previously praising Alexis for showing Zoe how ‘to be brave like her by example,’ Knox, in the meantime, has continued to post about the family’s unique experiences, ramping up his presence in recent months as he too revealed he was transgender.

Provided in a post to his Instagram account over the summer, the writer’s revelation read: ‘It is with joy, relief, and a fair amount of anxiety that I am re-introducing myself to you as Rowan Jette Knox.

‘I am a trans man, am medically transitioning, and will be exclusively using he/him pronouns going forward.’

Now, after more than a month on testosterone, he posts about mundane things such as using the men’s restroom and his hair, while continuing the comment on the renewed backlash she’s faced over the past few months.

He recently wrote: ‘I have a happy personal story to wrap up the week: My wife and I just signed the papers to sell our home.

‘I’m trans and haven’t legally changed my name yet. Our lawyer, who’s known us for a decade, put a declaration into the contract where he certified I am the same person as the one on the title.’

He went on to reveal how ‘he just… did it… because… that allowed me to sign everything as Rowan.’
