A police officer who found his former partner taking her clothes off for a fellow copper was sacked after getting into a fight with him.
PC Owain Lewis caught his ex with a colleague in the spare bedroom.
Despite splitting up, the pair still shared the property and Lewis was angered at what he saw he lost his temper.
He grappled with the fellow officer and then threw a baking tray filled with food in the direction of his partner- who was also a police officer.
Lewis, who worked for North Wales Police, had been in a relationship with the woman who has not been named for eight years.
A disciplinary tribunal heard problems began to appear in the relationship in September 2022, when he ex-lover kissed the officer.
Rumours quickly spread within the force about the troubled couple which frustrated Lewis.
PC Lewis moved out of the property in Buckley, Flintshire, but returned to it after a night out in December 2022 and argued with his ex at 4am.
The hearing was told she had jabbed her phone at his chest and Mr Lewis ‘recklessly’ threw her phone away in a temper and breaking it.
The hearing heard that Mr Lewis was left ‘heartbroken’ by the events and claimed he had not gone there looking for a row.
The panel ruled his actions amounted to gross misconduct and he was sacked from the force.
Deputy Chief Constable Nigel Harrison said: ‘Former PC Lewis’ actions were inappropriate, unprofessional, and totally unacceptable.
‘This type of conduct seriously undermines trust and confidence in policing.. North Wales Police take all reports of domestic abuse and violence against women and girls seriously.
‘The position of North Wales Police is to robustly investigate all matters to ensure public confidence is maintained, which is evidenced by this outcome.
‘We would encourage anyone with concerns of this nature to speak to us – you are not alone; you will be listened to, and your experiences will be taken extremely seriously.’
North Wales Police said: ‘Lewis was off duty when he attended at an address in the Buckley area of Flintshire. Whilst at the property he was responsible for an act of violence towards property which resulted in the damage of a mobile phone. This took place in a domestic setting.
