A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder as police launched an investigation after a woman was found dead at a house in Waterlooville.
Police said the 37-year-old woman was found after a report of a body inside the house.
Her next of kin have been informed, Hampshire Police said.
A 36-year-old man was treated for injuries to his arms before being arrested on suspicion of murder.
The death is being treated as suspicious and he is still to be interviewed by murder detectives, police said.
Police were called to a property at 11:30am yesterday, after the body was discovered inside the house.

A spokesman for the force said: ‘We were called at 11.30am on Thursday, December 28 to a report that the body of a 37 year-old woman had been located inside a house on Nevinson Way in Waterlooville.’
District Commander, Chief Inspector Habib Rahman said: ‘This is a concerning incident for the local community, but we do not believe there is any risk to the public.
‘Specialist officers will remain at the scene while we establish what happened.
‘The Neighbourhood Policing Team will be carrying out regular patrols in the area and anyone with questions or concerns can speak to these uniformed officers’.
