A manhunt has been launched after two women were repeatedly sexually assaulted inside a busy central London tube station.  

The women were allegedly targeted inside the ticket hall of Leicester Square Underground Station at around 7pm on November 23. 

It comes as police today released an image of a man they would like to speak to as they believe he may have information about the assaults. 

In the CCTV image shared by the British Transport Police, the man is wearing a hooded, zipless sweatshirt with a brand across the chest. 

He also appears to be wearing the same brand of tracksuit bottoms. 

Anyone who recognises him has been asked to contact the force by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 37 of 27 November.

 

In a full statement, British Transport Police said: ‘Officers investigating an incident of sexual assault at Leicester Square underground station are today releasing these images in connection.

‘Just before 7pm on Saturday 23 November, a man repeatedly sexually assaulted two women in the ticket hall. Officers believe the man in the images may have information which could help with their investigation.

‘Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 37 of 27 November. 

‘Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.’
