Police have launched a major search operation after a child fell into a river.
The three-year-old fell into the River Soar in Braunstone, Leicestershire.
Leicestershire Police said all emergency services were in attendance and searching for the child after the force received reports they fell into the water at around 5pm.
Emergency services are on the scene and a police helicopter was sighted searching the river at about 5.40pm, later replaced with a drone.
The helicopter then returned at 6.40pm after refuelling and is now lighting up the search area, according to Leicester Media.
The road between Braunstone Lane East and Middleton Street is currently closed.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: ‘Police and emergency services are dealing with an incident near to Aylestone Road, Braunstone, following reports of a three-year-old child falling in to the River Soar around 5pm today.
‘All services are in attendance as the search for the child continues.’
Police told the BBC that the search would not continue throughout the night, but will resume in the morning.
