Three men have been taken to hospital and twelve more arrested after a fight broke out in Woolwich.
The brawl happened on Thomas Street at around 6.25pm today, when officers arrived on the scene they discovered the injured men with stab wounds.
They were all taken to hospital for treatment, but their conditions are currently unknown.
As a result, a Section 60 has now been put in place in the SE18 area until 9.37am tomorrow.
This means police can stop and search anyone within the area without needing to have reasonable grounds.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: ‘Police were called at around 1825hrs on Friday, 31 May, to a fight in Thomas Street, Woolwich.
‘Officers attended the location and found three males suffering stab injuries.
‘All have been taken to hospital; officers await an assessment of their conditions.
‘Additional officers have been deployed to the area and a total of 12 people have been arrested in connection with the incident. Enquiries continue.
‘A Section 60 is in place until 0937hrs on 1 June covering the SE18 postcode area.
‘Any witnesses or anyone with footage that may assist police should call 101 and quote ref 5815/31may.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: ‘We responded to several calls to reports of stabbings in Woolwich on Friday 31 May.
‘The first call was at 6.32pm about an incident on Calderwood Street. We were then called at 6.47pm about an incident on Powis Street.
‘We sent ambulance crews, an incident response officer and a paramedic in a fast response car.
‘We treated two patients at the scene. We took one to a major trauma centre as a priority and the other declined further treatment.’
