P!NK’s husband Carey Hart reluctantly medically withdrew from Fox’s Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test on Wednesday night’s episode after suffering two minor injuries while running laps around the Wales compound.
‘She’ll always think I’m an idiot because I do really dumb things. That’s never going to change,’ the 49-year-old off-road truck racer laughed to TooFab on Wednesday.
‘But no, she was happy that I did it because she she knew I kind of needed to do something like this. And it wasn’t from the TV aspect, but to have a full immersion situation like this.
‘I tell people money can’t replicate what we just got to do, you know, to be teamed up with 15 other complete strangers and go through this boot camp. You know, money can’t buy that experience.’
And while Carey made it seven episodes on the bootcamp-style competition, he doesn’t think the 45-year-old pop star would fare any better: ‘There is no question she can handle the physical side, but someone telling her what to do, that would be a little tricky.’
Hart said it was ‘my own fault’ for tripping over a ‘plastic speed bump thing for all the cables’ which strained his wrist and his left ankle that already had ‘no cartilage left.’

‘I FaceTimed her that night. At the moment I got hurt, it was probably around midnight. So by the time I made it back to the hotel and got my phone out of the safe and all the things, it was probably 3 o’clock in the morning UK time,’ the retired motocross racer recalled to Us Weekly on Wednesday.
‘She’d known the period of the time of the show and probably in the back of her mind, she knows anytime my phone’s going to ring before that last day, I’m going to be [hurt]. So her initial [reaction] — she was wide-eyed, kind of white as a ghost, asking, “Are you alright?” And I’m like, “Yeah, it’s just my old body.”‘
Carey said it’s been ‘pretty fun’ to watch the reality competition with his ‘starry-eyed’ eight year-old son Jameson and his ‘tough-as-nails’ 13-year-old daughter Willow: ‘The only thing she cared about is if I cried or not.’

‘Most of my career, anything that I did, lives on YouTube for them. My last serious freestyle competition was X Games when my daughter was a year old,’ Hart explained.
‘So I started to step away from that high-risk level of my career 12 years ago. So it’s pretty fun to be able to sit on the couch and watch something in real time, watch it on TV, because my kids get to see what my wife does for a living.’
On January 7, the Cali-born, Nevada-raised athlete and Pink (born Alecia Moore) – who originally met at the 2001 X Games – impressively celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary.
Carey and the three-time Grammy winner – who split in 2003 and 2008 – have openly admitted the ‘only reason that we’re still together’ is their marriage counselor, Vanessa Inn.
On Wednesday, Hart had a ‘great time’ reuniting with his fellow contestant Brody Jenner – who’s still in the pre-taped competition – to ride some motocross.
The 41-year-old nepo-baby of Caitlyn Jenner, Kayla Nicole, Golden Tate, Alana Blanchard, and Cam Newton are the only ones remaining on the 10-episode third season of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, which airs Wednesdays on Fox.
Pink is scheduled to perform on Thursday night at the star-studded FireAidLA benefit concert, which will be held at Kia Forum in Inglewood, CA.
