A mother who was stabbed to death at a party in London last month has been pictured as tributes begin pouring in for the ‘amazing’ woman.
Charlotte Lawlor, 31, was found in the foyer of a tower block in Tower Hamlets just before 2am on September 15 with multiple stab injuries.
She tragically died at the scene, leaving behind an 11-year-old son who she ‘absolutely adored’.
In a GoFundMe page started by Lawlor’s cousin Jessie McBride, she said that the death came as a ‘devastating shock to the family’ and was ‘completely traumatising’ for the little boy who will now have to live through every milestone of life without his mother.
‘Charlotte was an amazing woman, she had drive, determination and a really big heart!’ McBride added.
‘She fought hard to make sure her son had the things he needed. She was his biggest supporter and absolutely adored him.
‘She was loved by so many people and will be sorely missed’.
The heartbroken cousin revealed Lawlor will be laid to rest at 2pm on October 25 at Finchley Crematorium.
Police were called to an address on Duckett Street in Tower Hamlets in the early hours of September 15 to reports of a women suffering severe stab injuries.
London Ambulance Service attended alongside Metropolitan police but Lawlor succumbed to her wounds at the site.
Hope Rowe, 32, from Whitechapel, was soon charged with murder and possession of a bladed article.
She appeared at the Old Bailey on September 18.
At the hearing, Judge Richard Marks remanded Rowe in custody ahead of a plea and trial preparation hearing on December 2.
A provisional trial date was set for June 9 next year.
A spokesman for the Met Police confirmed at the time of the incident that the people involved ‘appear to be known to each other’ and that they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
Acting Detective Chief Inspector Ben Dalloway of the Met’s Specialist Crime Command said: ‘This is a tragic incident which has resulted in a young woman losing her life. Those involved appear to be known to each other and were present at the address during the course of the evening.
‘While this investigation is in its early stages we have made significant progress and arrested two people. At this time we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.
‘Officers will continue to carry out vital work at the location and I would ask residents to remain patient while we do this. I would also ask if anyone saw anything or has information that could assist us then please make contact.’
Detective Superintendent Mike Cagney from the Central East Command Unit which covers Tower Hamlets said: ‘My thoughts are with the family of this young woman at this very difficult time.
‘Following this awful incident, my officers are working closely with our specialist colleagues to understand exactly what has occurred.
‘Over the coming days local officers will be in and around Duckett Street to provide any reassurance that the community needs but also as an opportunity for anyone with concerns, or any information about this incident, to speak with us.’
