Phoebe Burgess has remained silent after ex husband Sam and his girlfriend Lucy Graham tied the knot over the weekend.

The former NRL star, 35, and his new wife shared the news to Instagram on Monday alongside a carousel of breathtaking images captured in Rome, Italy.

Phoebe hasn’t posted to Instagram in over two weeks or reacted to news of the wedding.

She shares two children – daughter Poppy and son Billy – with Sam. The pair were married for four years before splitting in 2019.

Sam was last pictured with his children in October 2022, with the sports star posting a picture of the little ones sitting on his lap in a restaurant.

The former prop and his two kids were later seen taking a walk in Coogee with his brother Luke and his daughter Grace.

Sam also shares a one-year-old daughter named Robbie with his new wife Lucy, 33.

The former Rabbitohs star, Lucy and their daughter moved to the UK in October 2023, when he took the position of head coach at Warrington Wolves Rugby League Club.

The couple tied the knot at Villa Aurelia, a 17th-century Baroque property set on the highest point within the walls of Rome and features breathtaking views of the city.

Weddings in the picturesque setting begin at $18,000, with the venue being able to accommodate up to 300 guests.

Lucy looked heavenly on Sunday in a Champagne-hued gown by designer Paula Nadal that featured a structured bodice that tumbled into a floor-length voluminous skirt.

The blonde beauty added a touch of drama to her look with a long veil that tumbled behind her, also reaching the floor, while clutching a dainty bouquet.

She wore her frosted hair parted for the ceremony and highlighted her delicate features with a subtle makeup palette.

Meanwhile, Sam appeared to channel fictional character James Bond in a tailored black suit paired with a white pocket square.

The former Rabbitohs player proposed to Lucy in June last year, just nine months after they went public with their relationship.

He previously revealed he was extremely nervous when he asked the glamorous hairdresser to marry him.

Sam and his ex wife Phoebe married in 2015, separated in late 2018 and resumed their relationship in early 2019.

They split permanently on October 2 that year and later divorced.

Phoebe moved to Bowral with her children while Sam was embroiled in a series of legal woes following the breakdown of his marriage.

At the time, he was cleared on appeal of intimidating his former father-in-law, Mitch Hooke.

Phoebe revealed intimate details of the break-up on her podcast during an emotional chat with journalist and author Jacinta Tynan, who is a single mother of two.

The blonde beauty shared with Jacinta that once the break-up with Sam happened she was unsure what was ‘next’ for the family.

‘When you look at the practical, your four-year-old and your six-year-old need you to get up off the floor, because they need breakfast, and they need uniforms, and they need to get to school,’ she said.

‘And I think preserving the innocence and simplicity of their little routines, their little expectations, and what they know mummy provides, for me, that was my life raft.

‘That was the only solid thing that I held onto. That was it. They needed me.

‘So I had to still be here, I had to still get up and do it all over again – and everything else is just noise.’

She also previously insisted she will keep her ex-husband’s surname and has no plans to revert to her maiden name Hooke.

The influencer was asked about changing her name during a wide-ranging interview with journalist Mia Freedman on the No Filter podcast in 2021.

Phoebe told the Mamamia founder that even though her passport and email still have the surname Hooke, she wants to have the same last name as her children.

‘I drop my kids off to school every day, and I’ve got a big sign on my car that says Burgess, and we are three Burgesses because that’s their name, so I deserve to be the same name as my kids,’ she said.

Phoebe described the decision as ‘choosing to be a part of a family unit’ and a ‘personal preference’, regardless of the fact she is now divorced.

‘I’m choosing to own it a little bit. This is my story. It’s where I’ve come from,’ she said firmly.

‘And they were decisions I made with a really full heart at that time. And it’s almost like wearing those scars with a bit of pride.’
