Stephen Graham has been seen on set of the Peaky Blinders movie for the first time in Birmingham – hours after Cillian Murphy was spotted filming scenes in the city.

The British actor, 51 was snapped onboard a narrowboat dressed in period costume outside the Tap and Spile pub on Monday night.

Stephen could be seen at the back of the large barge, holding the stern as he steered it through the murky waters.

Making sure to emulate the dark, dingy colours of the Peaky Blinders brand, the actor wore a brown trench coat which boasted large buttons down the front.

He layered this over the top of a dusky white shirt and black trousers as he looked pensively over his shoulder whilst filming the dramatic scenes.

On Monday night fans also got a first look at Cillian Murphy reprising his role as Tommy Shelby as he rode through Cornwall Street on horseback.

The Irish actor, 48, donned the gangster’s trademark flatcap as he shot scenes in the city centre.

The Oscar winner could also be seen with fake blood trickling down his cheek while wearing what appeared to be a heavily mud-stained jacket and suit.

He was also snapped looking relaxed while in discussions with director Steven Knight, who wrote the multi-award winning gritty BBC gritty drama.

Delighted fans clamoured to try and get a glimpse of the star as filming continued for the hotly-anticipated movie, due to be released on Netflix.

Student and Peaky Blinders fan Hayley Morris, 19, revealed: ‘The film crews have tried to keep it all hush hush but we all knew it was for Peaky Blinders.

‘I’m so excited for the movie and hopefully we’ll get a glimpse of Cillian. It’s brilliant they are filming lots of it in Birmingham, as that’s where it’s all set’.

She added: ‘It can only be a good thing for the city. Peaky Blinders already brings us loads of tourists but now we have Hollywood stars here, it’s amazing.’

Last month it was announced that Saltburn star Barry had joined the cast, but details of his character have not yet been revealed.
