Office workers in Sydney’s CBD heading for their evening workout at a popular gym were greeted by chaotic scenes after a four-wheel-drive smashed through the front glass wall.
Emergency crews were called to Snap Fitness on Clarence St about 5.30pm after the black SUV careened through an intersection and directly into the packed gym on Friday.
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said that paramedics assisted one man in his 70s and another man in his 60s for minor injuries at the scene.
Both men were transported to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for further treatment.
Pictures from the scene show the front glass wall of the gym completely smashed in with the SUV’s bonnet wedged against the front service desk and glass shards covering the pavement.
‘It looks like a war zone,’ one office worker on their way to nearby Wynyard station told Daily Mail .
It is not known at this point what caused the crash.
The gym is, however, located at the edge of a T-intersection with the vehicle appearing to have failed to stop at the traffic lights and accelerated into the building opposite.
