Paris Hilton has blasted her uncle Mauricio Umansky for publicly discussing a family feud that erupted years ago because of business.
Mauricio is the estranged husband of Real Housewife Of Beverly Hills Kyle Richards, whose sister is Paris’ mother Kathy Hilton.
Nowadays Mauricio, 53, is a real estate broker with his own company – but he used to work with Paris’ father Rick at the real estate agency Hilton & Hyland.
On his new Netflix series Buying Beverly Hills, Mauricio spilled the story of how he left Hilton & Hyland and triggered an explosive rift between Kyle and her family, to the point the Hiltons allegedly stopped speaking to her.
Now Paris has leapt into the fray, defending her father and denouncing Mauricio for ‘using the Hilton name every chance he gets to plug his lame show.’

In a Twitter preview for his Buying Beverly Hills, Mauricio can be seen discussing his departure from the Hilton fold.
The dashing reality star explained that he wanted to become a partner at the company but ‘got kind of f***ed by Hilton & Hyland.’
He laid out his version of events: ‘And when I say: “f***ed,” you know, like, today I’m happy, but there was 100 agents at Hilton & Hyland. They did a billion dollars for the first time a year, I was 19.6% of their production, and I went to Rick and said: “I’d really like equity, right? And to be a partner.”‘
To hear Mauricio tell it, Rick then took the matter to Hilton & Hyland’s president Jeffrey Hyland and came back with no for an answer.
‘Then I went home,’ said Mauricio: ‘I talked to Kyle, I go: “This is really gonna cause a lot of stress between you and your sister and your family, and I don’t wanna do this move of leaving and starting a company if you’re not comfortable.”‘
Kyle however ‘was 100% supportive,’ and Mauricio broke away from Hilton & Hyland to embark on his own enterprise, The Agency.
His old bosses, he recalled, asked: ‘How did you not give us any warning or any issue?’ prompting Mauricio to incredulously respond: ‘Warning?’
In a confessional, Mauricio diplomatically said: ‘I think Hilton & Hyland is an amazing company and I would never be caught dead speaking poorly about them because I don’t think poorly about them, and I am Rick’s brother-in-law.’

He added: ‘But unfortunately it got sour because it really affected the family – Kyle more than anybody. You know, her family stopped speaking to her, but she understood that what was done to me was wrong and she stood by me, and at the end of the day, I needed that.’
Paris furiously responded to the clip on social media, writing: ‘My father is a consummate gentleman and has always taken the higher road.’
She pointedly argued: ‘He would never speak negatively about his family — especially in the press. Frankly we are all sick of him using the Hilton name every chance he gets to plug his lame show. It is enough already..’
Kylie and Mauricio married in 1996 and have since welcomed three daughters into the world together – Alexia, 27, Sophia, 24, and Portia, 16.
