Pamela Anderson showed off her natural beauty while attending the star-studded Gotham Awards at Cipriani Wall Street in New York on Monday.

The Baywatch beauty, 57, went make-up free for the event, showcasing her flawless features.

The Canadian actress — who has recently embraced a bare faced look for her appearances — wowed in a sleeveless form-fitting gold gown with a train.

Her platinum blonde tresses cascaded down her shoulders in loose waves. She added height to her look with pointed toe gold heels.

While on the red carpet she shared that makeup ‘doesn’t really make sense’ for her in an interview with People.

‘I mean — I wear — I love to wear makeup too sometimes,’ she said, adding, ‘It has a time and a place. I just feel in my personal life, it just didn’t really make sense.’

As for what beauty means to her, she shared that it was about, ‘Being brave and living your dreams. It’s never too late.’

The Gotham Awards have embraced gender-neutral categories since 2021, and this year, Pamela competes against an impressive lineup of nominees for Outstanding Lead Performance, including Nicole Kidman in Babygirl, Demi Moore in The Substance, Colman Domingo in Sing Sing, Saoirse Ronan in The Outrun, Justice Smith in I Saw The TV Glow, Keith Kupferer in Ghostlight, Mikey Madison in Anora, and Marianne Jean-Baptiste in Hard Truths.

Pamela is nominated for her role in The Last Showgirl, where she portrays a veteran Las Vegas performer navigating the twilight of her career.

The film, written by Kate Gersten, features an impressive ensemble cast including Jamie Lee Curtis as Shelly’s best friend, Dave Bautista as the show’s producer.

Brenda Song, Kiernan Shipka, and Billie Lourd play supporting roles.

Anderson’s performance has garnered critical acclaim, earning her the Marquee Award at the SCAD Savannah Film Festival.

The 34th Annual Gotham Awards marks the official kickoff of the 2024-2025 awards season.

This year’s event introduces two new competitive categories: Best Director, which is being presented for the first time, and the return of the Breakthrough Performer award.

The nominations highlight a diverse range of independent films, with Anora leading the pack with four nominations, followed by I Saw the TV Glow and Nickel Boys with three nominations each.

Special tribute awards will be presented to several industry luminaries, including Denis Villeneuve receiving the Director Tribute for Dune: Part Two and Angelina Jolie receiving the Performer Tribute for Maria.

The awards, presented by the Gotham Film & Media Institute, celebrate and nurture independent film and media creators, providing crucial recognition for emerging and established talent.

Pamela’s new film was helmed by Gia Coppola, the granddaughter of The Godfather director Francis Ford Coppola and niece of Lost In Translation filmmaker Sofia Coppola.

Gia revealed that she was inspired to cast her leading lady after watching her 2023 Netflix documentary Pamela, A Love Story.

Released around the same time as her memoir Love, Pamela, the documentary allowed her to bare her soul about her career, her relationships and the trauma of the scandal when sex tape with Tommy Lee was stolen and leaked.

While watching Pamela’s documentary, Gia was ‘so impressed with her knowledge of art house cinema and art and philosophy,’ she told Deadline.

‘I saw a woman that was bursting at the seams of wanting to express herself creatively.’

However when Pamela’s agent received the script for The Last Showgirl, he neglected to even run it by her before turning it down.

‘He thought it wasn’t right for me,’ said Pamela. ‘He thought I couldn’t do it. At that point, I was being offered nothing. But also, I’d kind of given up too, in a way.’

However, Pamela and Tommy’s son Brandon Thomas Lee came to the rescue when he found the screenplay in his mother’s agent’s office.

Brandon, who had produced the Netflix documentary that inspired Gia to send Pamela the script in the first place, then brought The Last Showgirl to his mother’s attention.

Pamela shared that she read the screenplay and ‘I felt it. I had to do it. I felt Shelly right away. I knew it was right. There is something karmic there because if Brandon hadn’t made that documentary and Gia hadn’t seen it, I wouldn’t be doing this.’

After premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival in September to a warm critical response, The Last Showgirl will bow in theaters December 13.
