Oscar Pistorius’ brother has posted new photos of him as a child – as the disgraced Paralympian remains in hiding following his release from jail.
Pistorius, 37, known as ‘The Blade Runner’ because of his prosthetic legs, is pictured in two new photos of him with his family.
The athlete, who murdered his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, was released in January after serving half of his 13-year sentence for shooting the model dead.
Since his release, the star has remained holed up in his uncle’s luxury mansion in Waterkloof Pretoria, after being warned by parole officers not to be photographed or engage with the media.
But his elder brother Carl this afternoon released pictures of the killer as a youngster with his relatives to mark the 22nd anniversary of their mother’s death.

Pistorius has credited his mother Shiela, who died aged 43, as a major influence on his life.
The runner, was born without fibulas and had both legs amputated below the knees before his first birthday, but his mother urged him ‘to never give up.’
The new pictures show him in father Hank’s arms with his mother and Carl.
A second photograph shows Pistorius on stepping stones in a pond holding his mother’s hand while his brother watches and crosses behind them. Two more pictures of his late mother have also been placed on social media.
After his mother’s death, he became close to his uncle Arnold who has promised parole officers to in taking him into his home, he will also ensure his nephew stays away from guns and out of trouble.
The wealthy businessman, who has his real estate company called Twin Towers’ headquarters near his home, lives with his wife Lois and the deeply religious Christian couple encourage the athlete to read his bible daily.
His father Hank is happy with his son’s living arrangements and Pistorius’ sister Aimee flew South Africa from her London home to spend time there on his release.

The gun-fanatic has been allowed out on parole until 2029 and must adhere to a number of conditions set down by Atterridgeville Correction Services officials.
He has to undergo a course of ‘anger management’ to help him cope with his fierce temper which prosecutors said led him to kill Reeva.
He is barred from drinking alcohol and handling any weapons and must inform his parole officers of his whereabouts and remain at his Uncle Arnold’s home during set hours.
Pistorius has been banned from giving media interviews which will came as a further blow as major US talk shows were hoping to line him up as a star guest.
Pistorius’s successful bid to run in the London 2012 Olympics made him a huge star in America and a poster boy for Paralympians in which he also competed in in Britain a few weeks after the Olympics.
On returning to South Africa he began dating Reeva, but he slaughtered her on Valentines Day 2013 in his home.
He gunned her down through a toilet door and claimed it was an accident as he believed an intruder had entered his home.
But after a year of protracted court hearings his conviction of culpable homicide was changed to murder. Instead of life, he was punished with a 13-and-a-half-year sentence.
