A person has been rushed to hospital after a helicopter crashed in Melbourne’s south-east just minutes after taking off.
Emergency services were called to Moorabbin Airport about 2.30pm on Thursday following reports a helicopter with two passengers had been involved in a crash.
Ambulances Victoria told Daily Mail one person had been transported to Alfred Public Hospital by road.
One person involved in the incident suffered ‘non-life-threatening injuries’, Victoria Police confirmed, adding Work Safe and the n Transport Safety Bureau will be notified.
Aerial images obtained by 9News depict a fire crew standing near the scene of the crash where the damaged helicopter appeared to have been doused in foam.
