Last month fans were given another action-packed glimpse into season two.
In a new trailer for the next chapter of the Game of Thrones prequel, Matt, Emma, and Olivia are all seen returning for what is certain to be another dramatic season.
‘The Targaryen who sits the Iron Throne is not just a king or a queen. They are a protector of the realm,’ Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen (D’Arcy) is heard contemplating at the start of the trailer.
‘Now I find myself in an impossible position,’ Rhaenyra continues.
As King Aegon II Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney) approaches his throne, D’Arcy muses, ‘The enemy usurped my throne.’
Rhaenyra peruses a collection of swords before confidently brandishing one.
Olivia was pictured leaving her hotel in Tribeca and making her way to the premiere
The dress featured a backless design
She smiled for fans outside
Her black nail polish matched her heels
Meanwhile, at a tense meeting, King Aegon asks as he casually points his knife about to the others, ‘What are we going to do about it?’
‘Proceed cautiously,’ Queen Alicent Hightower (Cooke) recommends sternly.
‘F**k dignity!’ Aegon suddenly shouts, before adding with a cooler tone, ‘I want revenge.’
As soldiers prepare for battle, Daemon is seen musing, ‘I did not think they would be so eager to die.’
‘The realm’s only hope is in a leader strong enough to unite it,’ Daemon observes at one point as he rides a dragon.
In a powerful moment, Rhaenyra asks Daemon: ‘Do you accept me as your queen and ruler?’ A long pause follows.
The trailer teases action-packed battle scenes as the civil war continues.
‘War is coming,’ Rhaenyra breathlessly observes. ‘And neither of us may win.’
