Northwestern University has ordered students to ‘run, hide, fight’ over an active threat on its Evanston Campus after reports of ‘shots fired.’
The official X account for the Illinois school posted shortly before midnight: ‘There is an Active Threat event on the Evanston Campus. Run, Hide, Fight. Take proper shelter. Lock and/or barricade doors. Await further information.’
‘Northwestern Police are on scene investigating reports of shots fired near 70 Arts Circle Dr on the Evanston campus,’ the university wrote.
Police are urging students to avoid the area.
