A man has died after jumping off a bridge in what police believe was a case of misadventure.
Queensland Police received a report about 1am on Sunday that an adult male had jumped off the Noosa Sound Bridge on Noosa Pde and failed to resurface.
Police divers searched the Noosa River for the man and his body was recovered about 6am.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
Queensland Ambulance Service also attended the scene about 1.15am but were unable to locate the man.

The tragic death follows several warnings from police against jumping from the bridge.
Despite cautions jumping from the Sound Bridge could lead to serious injury, it has remained a popular tourist activity.
Now-retired Senior Sergeant Peter Feldman previously explained what makes the activity so risky.
‘They are not only risking their own lives, but that of people in passing boats,’ he told Noosa News.
‘It is an offence to jump off certain structures and they are breaking the law.
‘It’s not the height of the bridge that makes it dangerous – it’s the way that they can fall.
‘It only takes a fall of a couple of metres to seriously injure somebody.’
Paramedics attended the scene about 1.15am but were unable to find the man. Police divers discovered his body about 6am
