Noel Gallagher has finally broken his silence on his divorce from ex-wife Sara McDonald, a year after the pair split.

The musician, 56, who reportedly paid the mother of his kids £20million plus their £8million mansion in the settlement, said that he wanted to cycle past the pricey property and shout: ‘You didn’t take this [bike] from me!’.

Noel confirmed the end of his 12-year marriage to publicist Sara with whom he shares sons Donovan, 16, and Sonny, 14, in January 2023, blaming the pandemic and COVID lockdowns for putting an strain on their relationship.

Now speaking on Matt Morgan’s Patreon Podcast he quipped about his new life as a single man in London: ‘I can get on the bike and go up to King’s Cross, and go down to the canal at Longfield Road,’

‘And get on the canal outside my wonderful ex-wife’s house and give her a little wave, and go, “You didn’t take this from me!”.

Before adding: ‘But the pace of London is f**king great at the minute, I’m loving it’.

Noel also lifted the lid on living a year in a £2,500-a-night suite at swanky hotel Claridge’s following the marriage breakdown, after sources claimed he was ‘parting through the pain’.

He told pal Matt: ‘I had some proper f**king good times there – it was a proper good time. I lived there for most of last year, I was there three or four nights a week’.

Noel, who has a reported net worth of £57million, stayed in the lap of luxury while waiting for his new flat in nearby Maida Vale to be renovated, which he confirmed he had now moved into.

Elsewhere in the interview the Wonderwall hitmaker shared his thoughts on reforming Oasis with estranged brother Liam, 51, before claiming the band would likely ‘be cancelled in an afternoon’ these days.

Saying: ‘Timing is everything. Even if we were to come back now, it would be just like a heritage kind of thing. It could never be the same’.

‘If Oasis appeared tomorrow with Supersonic and we were talking about f**king Rottweilers snorting cocaine in the studio and how we didn’t give a f**k about drugs in the studio, the record companies would sh**t themselves’.

‘It would be like the Sex Pistols. We wouldn’t be this massive thing with Radio 1 playing it constantly. You’d be underground’.

Noel has been embroiled in a very public feud with his brother since Oasis split in 2009, though there has been recent talk that the warring siblings could finally unite for a comeback gig.

And teasing a reunion once again in an interview with The Sun last year he cheekily shared his thoughts on what the gig would look like, remarking: ‘Me, Liam and a load of fit f**king birds’.

More recently Noel revealed how he is planning a ‘big blowout’ after kicking his four-year nightly wine habit.

The High Flying Birds musician cut back on his drinking, giving up booze on New Year’s Day and swapping it for peppermint tea, according to the Mirror.

But the former Oasis star plans to break his run of sobriety in the coming months after a London gig when he will celebrate by waving his underwear in the air.

Telling pal Matt:  ‘I’ve been drinking every day for four years, half a bottle of red wine a night.

‘I’ve got a gig on March 21 at the Royal Albert Hall, so that’s the aim – to have a big blowout the night after that, go mad, swinging my undies round my head in the dressing room’.
