Nicolas Cage sang Bradley Cooper’s praises during the premiere of his new movie Arcadian, which took place at the South By Southwest festival in Austin, Texas on Monday.
The 60-year-old performer had encountered the 49-year-old filmmaker during the Academy Awards ceremony, which took place in Hollywood the evening prior, and he remarked that he was ‘very impressed’ with his work on Maestro.
The Wild At Heart star – who recently brought his wife Riko Shibata to a pre-Oscars party – went on to tell People that he was enthusiastic about the prospect of collaborating with the star of the Hangover franchise in the future.
Cage also described Cooper as ‘a hell of an actor. I admire what he’s accomplished.’
The performer then told the media outlet that he felt as if the A Star As Born was putting an impressive amount of effort into his projects.

‘Jerry Lewis used to tell me, “You’re not a filmmaker unless you star in your own movie and direct your own movie, compose and edit your own movie.” And Bradley’s doing that,’ he said.
Cooper was put up for the awards for Best Actor and Best Original Screenplay, the latter of which he shared with Josh Singer, for his work on Maestro.
The cast and crew of the movie received a total of seven nominations for their work on the feature, although they did not take any home.
Cage is currently preparing for the upcoming wide release of Arcadian, which was directed by Ben Brewer.
The Mandy star was first attached to the project in October of 2022, when the film was originally titled Sand And Stones.
Deadline revealed that Jaeden Martell, Maxwell Jenkins and Sadie Soverall had been added to the cast of the project the following month.
Arcadian is set in a post-apocalyptic world and is centered on a father who has to protect his teenage sons after they encounter a malevolent force.
Physical production on the feature took place in Dublin, and its crew wrapped in February of last year.
