Other notable guests included Downton Abbey star Daisy Lewis, British model Lady Mary Charteris, stylist Martha Ward and Gordon Ramsay’s daughter, Holly Ramsay.

Nicky and Rebecca announced the launch of their Holiday capsule collection, comprising 31 pieces, at the start of this month.

The launch party was held in Bel Air the following week, coinciding with Nicky’s birthday and featured a surprise birthday cake for the sister of Paris Hilton.

The new range includes embellished evening gowns, shimmering party dresses, and jumpsuits fit for the festive season.

Rebecca’s hand-embroidered diamanté bows, pearls and floral appliqué details are also heavily featured in the collection.

It marks the first time that Sydney-based designer Rebecca has worked with a collaborator, with her praising Nicky as an ‘international icon’.

She said: ”I’m incredibly proud to have had the chance to work with my dear friend, Nicky Hilton – an international icon – on creating a truly special collection.

‘Together, we’ve brought to life a range that reflects everything we both cherish timeless style, impeccable craftsmanship, and a celebration of femininity.

‘These are values we hold close at Rebecca Vallance, and it’s been such a joy to share them with Nicky throughout this collaboration.’

Revealing how she and Rebecca first crossed paths before deciding to work together, Nicky recalled: I didn’t know her, but I knew this beautiful Aussie shared my aesthetic: flirty, feminine, fun.

‘I had to attend a charity event while heavily pregnant, so I tried to track down this perfect Rebecca dress. It was sold out everywhere, so I slid into her DM’s. That DM got me the dress!’

She continued: ‘We just became friends from there. We both love holiday time. We both have the same aesthetic. We love dressing up.

‘While making the collection and going through my favourite looks from Rebecca Vallance, we discovered we were drawn to a lot of the same design details and references, which was such an exciting and delightful process.’

Nicky also spoke to People magazine about making their partnership work, gushing: ‘I have been a huge fan of Rebecca’s designs for many years. [I’ve] been wearing them.

‘Me, my mom, my sister — we all love them. So to be able to collaborate with one of my favorite designers is really a dream come true. We have such a similar aesthetic, DNA, and I think you will see that in all the pieces.

‘She would fly to New York, we would meet in Europe, and we really, really worked very collaboratively on this collection.’

And Rebecca was also insistent that Nicky had a hand in all the designs, calling it a ‘genuine collaboration.’

She said: ‘Nicky was involved as much as I was. We would talk about silhouettes, fabric choices.

‘She is a trained designer so it’s not a situation where she just slapped her name on it.’

Nicky explained the designs emulate ‘that special holiday feel through a timeless color palette’ which she noted also includes some non traditional shades.

She explained: ‘I think with the holiday collection, people usually think jewel tones, but I really wanted to think outside the box. I wanted to include some ice blues, which is my favorite colour.’

Nicky has been married to her husband James Rothschild for almost 10 years, after tying the knot in July 2015 at Kate Middleton and Prince William’s home in Kensington Palace.

The couple met at the wedding of Formula 1 heiress Petra Ecclestone to her now-ex James Stunt in 2011.

They spent their first year doing long-distance before deciding to move to New York City to be together and went on to get engaged at Lake Como in 2014.

Nicky and James then welcomed daughters Lily-Grace, eight, Teddy, six, and two-year-old son Chasen.
