A New York father was left devastated after he realized his son was the victim of the hit and run accident call he was called into work for.
Tyler Beschorner, 29, died after he was struck by a car while walking on Route 363 in Binghamton, New York, on February 17.
The accident caused road closures and a call was made to Tyler’s father, Corey Beschorner – a New York State Department of Transportation employee – to come in and assist with the scene.
Little did Corey know that he would be walking in to his own son’s murder site.

Mother Shanay Beschorner told the channel in-between sobs: ‘The horrible thing is that he [Cory] works for the DOT, so he is the one who did the road closure, not knowing it was our son.’
She also said that everyone who saw Tyler minutes before the incident said he was normal and described him as a ‘happy-go-lucky guy’.
‘I don’t want to hold hate and I don’t want to be angry because it’s not going to change anything or bring him back,’ she said.
The Binghamton Police Department have said they are still investigating Tyler Beschorner’s death and asked people to come forward with any information they may have

Gitchell wrote on the crowdfunding page: ‘Jayden Beshorner, his son was the center of his world and Tyler was the center of his.’
Shanay later said that Jayden was struggling with the death of his father.
‘He’s just struggling. He keeps saying he’s all alone. He goes, “It’s just me.” And I said, ‘No. You have all of us,’ she said.
