EXCLUSIVE

Natalie Bassingthwaighte’s new girlfriend is a single mum and talented drummer who lives a short drive away from the Rogue Traders singer’s Byron Bay home.

Nicola Ossher spoke to Daily Mail while walking her dog in Tweed Heads, NSW, on Tuesday, and coyly admitted: ‘We have a long friendship – and that’s all I’m going to say.’

The drummer with corporate events band Jazz Factory spoke out after Neighbours star Bassingthwaighte, 48, confessed she was now in a same-sex relationship.

Bassingthwaighte said her new love ‘makes my heart smile’ following her split last year with husband Cameron McGlinchey after 11 years of marriage.

In an intriguing coincidence, he is also a drummer like her new love.

‘I think this was ‘step one’ for Nat in sharing her story,’ a close friend from Byron Bay told Daily Mail .

”Step two’ will be talking more candidly about her relationship with Nicola.’

‘There’s been jokes about the fact Cameron is a drummer and Nicola is one too – what are the odds?’
