Nadia Bartel has confessed that she isn’t a whiz on the calculator despite running a fashion empire.

The Henne fashion designer owns a hugely successful label but realises that comes with working to her strengths and not her weaknesses in business.

The 39-year-old told the Herald Sun on Saturday that her goal for 2025 was, ‘Focusing on what you’re actually good at.

‘I’ve realised over the years with my business as we’ve grown more, we’ve got 50 employees, what am I good at.’

She continued: ‘I’m not great at data, not great with numbers, that’s not where I’m serving my purpose the most, pulling myself out of that and focus on the things I’m actually good at.

‘You’ve also got to have a lot of tenacity and drive and grit because not everything is always going to go your way and you’ve got to learn to pivot and adopt and make brave decisions. Things move very fast.’

Henne has gone from strength to strength since Nadia launched the brand with her sister Michelle Ring and friend Laura Broque five years ago in 2019.

Nadia opened a Henne store in Paddington in June last year, exactly two years after opening the brand’s first shop in Melbourne in 2022.

It comes after Nadia announced an exciting new project – collaborating with Green Cup Canteen in South Yarra, Melbourne.

The stylish businesswoman’s tanning brand, Spray Aus, will team up with the health food café with a limited edition ‘Violet Glow’ smoothie.

‘We thought it would be great to launch our new violet tanning range which has just been so exciting because everyone loves a really dark tan,’ Nadia said in a video released online to launch the campaign.

‘This has everything I put into my smoothie every morning, I’m a big fan of getting my protein and my collagen in.

‘All these ingredients that give your skin a really nice glow,’ she added.

On December 8, Nadia and her Spray Aus team were at Green Cup Canteen South Yarra handing out free ‘Violet Days Self Tan.’

Nadia shares her sons Aston, eight, and Henley, six, with her AFL star ex-husband Jimmy Bartel, who she was married to from 2014 to 2021.

The social media sensation is currently in a relationship with former footballer turned model Peter Dugmore.

The pair went on a date after Peter slid into the fashionista’s Instagram DMs.

‘I don’t usually respond to Instagram messages, and I don’t know if it was because I was feeling lonely, but I responded,’ she told her followers on Instagram in August.

‘I looked at his profile and we had some mutual friends and he looked like a nice guy. He also didn’t have a lot of posts – and I liked that,’ she said.

Nadia continued: ‘I really enjoyed the chats but I never thought I’d ever see this person – it was just nice to chat.

‘I was in a good place with my mental health and I didn’t want to put myself in a position where I could be hurt again.’

The Henne designer eventually met up with Peter at The Tan, a popular running route in Melbourne, and said they have been together ever since.

Speaking to Daily Mail earlier this year, Nadia revealed marriage was currently not on the cards for the couple.

‘I don’t think so,’ she laughed.

‘You know when you’ve done that then you’re like I don’ know If I’d do that again.’

‘But when you meet someone that you feel like you want to marry it’s a good feeling. We are so happy. He’s a good boy.’
