alert-–-my-boss-is-telling-me-i-am-required-to-report-to-him-how-many-times-i-use-the-restroom-in-a-dayAlert – My boss is telling me I am required to report to him how many times I use the restroom in a day

A man who’s been having trouble holding in his liquids created a Reddit post on February 15 that described a restroom requirement at his place of work.

The original poster (OP), who works at 7-Eleven, received a text from his boss yesterday that said he needed to ‘provide a doctor’s note’ for his bladder problems.

The young 7-Eleven employee claimed that he does not have bladder problems despite going to the bathroom more than once while he’s working.

His boss later told him that he needed to get the doctor’s note because he uses the restroom too much during his three-hour shifts.

The OP admitted in his post that he drinks ‘2 big gulps worth of water just about every time’ he works at the store.

According to the OP, the amount of water he drinks causes him to ‘frequent the bathroom about 1-4 times a shift.’

His boss texted him again that day and asked the employee to tell him how many times he used the restroom that day.

The employee wrote in the Reddit post that he responded to his boss’ message and wrote that he went to the bathroom twice during his shift yesterday.

‘I asked if I was required to disclose that information to him and he said I was required due to the fact that it’s a paid bathroom break and that I have confirmed that I have no medical problems,’ the employee wrote.

‘I’m just curious if this is true and wondering how I should handle the situation forward from this point.’

Nearly 700 Reddit users have given their opinions on what he should do, and some of their ideas involve the OP’s feces.

Several Reddit users have suggested in the comment section that the employee starts a log or spreadsheet.

‘Start a log chart ad report it to him daily,’ on user wrote.

‘Make sure you put the size of the log you pushed out and the color and smell of it.’

Other users have suggested the 7-Eleven worker ‘take pictures’ after he goes to the bathroom during his shifts.
