MSNBC anchors Jen Psaki, Joy Reid and Rachel Maddow joked about Virginia voters’ concerns over immigration during the Super Tuesday election coverage at the left-leaning network.
In Virginia, which in recent elections has become a swing state, early exit polls indicated immigration was the top issue for Republican primary voters, reported MSNBC.
While discussing those exit poll results on air, anchors from the liberal network mocked voters from the Old Dominion state for their concerns.
Former White House Press Secretary Psaki said, ‘I live in Virginia. Immigration was the No. 1 issue.’
As Reid is heard laughing Maddow said, ‘Well, Virginia does have a border with West Virginia.’

Exit polls found Trump’s immigration policies are widely acceptable in Virginia, with 64 percent of voters trusting the former president more on border security.
Americans now say immigration is the top issue facing the nation — with 28 percent of voters calling it the main concern, ahead of the state of the government and the economy.
Additionally, a recent poll released this week found that a majority of U.S. voters now want a barricade along the U.S.-Mexico border, an issue Trump ran on in 2016.
The exit polling from Super Tuesday came as Donald Trump dominated winning primaries in Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Maine, Alabama, Massachusetts, Arkansas, Texas, Colorado, Minnesota, and California.
Ahead of the primary, Trump skewered President Joe Biden’s border plan as a ‘conspiracy’ to destabilize the United States during a rally in Richmond.
Many voters at the rally who DailyMail.com spoke with Saturday agreed with the president, saying border security is the most pressing issue in the upcoming election.

‘Immigration is No. 1,’ Duchess, a Virginia voter, told DailyMail.com.
Dave, of Woodbridge, Virginia, similarly said his top priority is fixing the ‘immigration problems were having right now.’
In a piece for DailyMail.com ahead of his trip to the border in Eagle Pass, Texas, last week, Trump wrote how Biden ‘created the illegal migrant invasion’ and stated that he was the only candidate who could stop it.
The United States is expected to be grappling with more than 8 million asylum seekers and migrants who will have crossed over the southern border by September.
The staggering figure represents a 167 percent surge in five years and underscores the challenges faced by what is both an underfunded and antiquated immigration system.
The vast majority of the 8 million are now free to roam US streets, including 2 million ‘high-priority’ cases of career criminals seeking asylum.
Liberal cities like New York and Chicago, where hundreds of thousands of migrants have been bused in from border states – an effort led by Texas Governor Greg Abbott – are increasing their pressure on the Biden administration to fork over emergency aid.
Several Democratic mayors are now asking for $5billion in aid, a significantly higher number than the $1.5billion the White House requested from Congress.
Capitol Hill lawmakers have spent the last many months unsuccessfully fighting amongst themselves over some sort of border policy that would stem the flow of illegal migrants into the country.

Social media users have slammed the anchors for what they called ‘out of touch’ remarks.
‘Despicable behavior by Jen Psaki and Rachel Maddow tonight. Unprofessional. Disrespectful,’ said Twitter user Lisa Ann.
Another user said, ‘As a Virginian this is insulting. West Virginia has some of the most beautiful and incredible natural features and people who enjoy them.’
According to the National Archives, disputes over the borders of Virginia began in the early 17th century.
It was not until the Civil War that West Virginia gained statehood when it seceded from Virginia, joined the union and was recognized by President Lincoln on June 20, 1863.
