‘Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go.’
Sophie did not reveal her father’s cause of death in the heartfelt statement.
Back in April, Sophie, who is married to husband Jamie and has sons Ronnie, four, and Lennie, two, revealed her father had been in hospital for three weeks.
She said at the time: ‘So, my dad is in hospital at the moment.
‘My dad has never been blessed, shall we say, with fantastic health, from his chest, his lungs, his heart. He’s always struggled.’
Sophie then spoke about how, when her dad retired, she made him a workshop in her £1million ‘forever home’ farmhouse.
She said she had filled the workshop with wood and tools so he ‘could live this dream that he’s had since he was a little boy.’
Sophie had said her dad was in ‘very safe hands’ in hospital and praised the “incredible” nurses who were caring for her beloved father.
