An Indiana mother refused to pick up her teenage daughter from hospital delivering a callous reply in response when hospital social workers called for her to come by.
Amanda Osmon, a mother-of-three girls, was telephoned by staff at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis summoning her to collect her 13-year-old girl, but she instead dismissed the request coldly declaring, ‘I’m not dealing with this s*** tonight!’
The coldhearted remark came just hours after the teen had been admitted to following a mental health crisis after a heated fight with her mother.
The disturbing incident unfolded over several hours late on Saturday night and ran into the early hours of Sunday morning at St. Vincent.
The chain of events had begun earlier in the evening when the teenager was admitted to hospital for a mental health evaluation following the argument with Osmon.
According to law enforcement, hospital staff and social workers later made repeated attempts to contact the girl’s parents, Osmon, 36, and her stepfather 41-year-old Jeffery Scheda, to collect her once she was deemed ready to be discharged.
But upon being asked to do so, Osmon allegedly refused to take any responsibility for coming by collect her daughter.
The situation only grew more troubling as both parents are also alleged to have sounded drunk during their phone conversations with hospital staff.

Following a shocking series of refusals and verbal abuse, both Osmon and Scheda were then arrested by police.
During one call, a social worker attempted to reach Scheda, but according to a police report he hung up after being told to have Osmon contact the hospital, reports 14News.
One hour later Osmon finally called back, but instead of cooperating, hospital staff were met with hostility, describing her demeanor as ‘agitated’.
By the early hours of Sunday morning, law enforcement became involved.
Police arrived at the parents’ home and discovered that both Osmon and Scheda had been drinking heavily and had passed out while their daughter remained alone at the hospital.
Osmon, right, and Scheda, left, now face charges of neglect, meanwhile social workers from the hospital have confirmed that the teen is now in a safe environment and receiving appropriate care

Officers noted how the parents were uncooperative and even lied about their earlier interactions with social workers.
According to police, the parents dismissed the urgency of picking up their child, wrongly assuming she would instead be admitted overnight for a mental health evaluation as she had been in the past.
But it was their cavalier attitude and unwillingness to take action which ultimately led to their arrest.
