A shocked neighbor told Daily Sentinel that she always hears noise coming from the apartment and thought nothing of the incident until she heard the news.

‘They always make noise up there so it was nothing unusual that I know of that happened,’ the neighbor who lives below them said.

‘It’s scary, it’s very scary and you don’t expect something like that to happen where you live.’

The Office of Chief Medical Examiner of the City of New York will determine the cause of death, although a visible head trauma was discovered, police sources told pix 11.

It comes just days after a man and his stepson were viciously murdered in their East Flatbush apartment complex, located just under two miles from the grizzly box discovery.

Bladimy Mathurin, 47, and Chinwai Mode, 27, were gunned down on October 29 following a reported noise complaint by a neighbor who they’d been warring with for four years.

Marie Delille, Mathurin’s widow and mother to Mode, 27, told .com shooter, Jason Pass’ death, is not the justice she’d hoped for.

‘I mean, it’s not going to bring them back is it,’ she said.

Speaking exclusively with .com Mathurin’s sister, Tiesha Christian, said the number one priority at the moment is ensuring the safety of the family.

‘Our priority is the family’s safety we’re working on relocating them at the moment,’ she said.

‘I’m still heartbroken. There are a lot of moving parts, it’s been 48 hours and we just want to make sure the family is safe.’

Their neighbor and suspected gunman Jason Pass, also 47, remained on the run until he was spotted driving down a Bath Beach, Brooklyn, street on Wednesday morning.

A source close to the investigation told .com that police were called to the scene before 8am.

The NYPD said Pass lunged at them with the above knife before he was shot

The source said that Pass ‘was stopped in his vehicle and lunged at police with a knife.’

The alleged killer was shot ‘once in the leg, twice in the chest and in the jaw,’ after he attempted to run from police after exiting his vehicle, according to the source.

Pass, a former state corrections officer, was taken to hospital in critical condition, where he died of his injuries.

The shooting happened on the fourth floor of a well-known housing complex in East Flatbush, where Barbra Streisand and late The Wire star Michael K. Williams grew up.

A 73-year-old neighbor, who wished not to be identified for safety reasons, told .com that she had been living in the apartment for a year and described her neighbors as ‘quiet and friendly.’

The neighbor said the bloodbath that took place outside her home would be permanently etched in her memories.

She said the morning after the tragedy she couldn’t get past the yellow police tape strung up along the door of their apartment.

‘When my husband come out to work, he couldn’t open the door because of the yellow tape,’ she explained.

‘I looked and saw the amount of blood on the floor. It was a pool of blood. And the officer said ‘you don’t want to see this.’

‘The son didn’t do nothing and he shoot the son and he shoot the father. You know he come to kill.’

Shocking footage of the shooting showed the fatal confrontation on Sunday. It showed Mathurin coming out of his apartment with scissors before the shooter takes out his weapon and executes him and his stepson.

Video of the shooting begins with a man dressed in black, angrily pacing the hallway outside of an apartment.

As the man paces, a woman in sweatpants and a tank-top emerges from an apartment and the situation escalates.

Chinwai Mode, 27, was also gunned down on Wednesday

Mathurin was shot by a neighbor after a confrontation over a noise complaint – an issue that had come up many times between the two men who lived in apartments on adjacent floors

A three candle memorial has been set up outside the home of the victims

The woman is quickly joined by the man, subsequently identified by police as her son Chinwai Mode, 27.

The video does not have audio, so it is unclear precisely what the neighbors’ back and forth entails.

As the situation appears to heat up, the mother and son are then joined by Mathurin, who angrily confronts then neighbor while appearing to wield a pair of scissors.

His wife attempts to turn him away from the confrontation, but Mathurin – reportedly an amateur bodybuilder and father of four – pushes her away.

The neighbor then pulls a gun from his jacket, which he instantly aims at Mathurin.

Despite seemingly acknowledging the gun, Mathurin dismisses it and turns to walk back toward his door.

The neighbor then begins to fire, striking Mathurin who immediately falls to the ground.

The stepson, who was in the hallway and saw Mathurin go down, attempts to run from the shooter but is unsuccessful and is shot multiple times before collapsing, motionless, in a pool of his own blood near the staircase.

Pass then allegedly focuses his attention back on Mathurin, who was struggling to get up at that moment. He shoots him execution-style just outside his door.

The man, having slaughtered two people, looks around the bloody hallway and then calmly waits for the elevator, which he takes downstairs before fleeing the scene.

Many living on the floor are mourning the loss of Mathurin and Mode

A 73-year-old neighbor, who wished not to be identified for safety reasons, told .com that she had been living in the apartment for a year and said a bullet tore through her home

The bullet pierced a large blue barrel in the hallway of the neighbors home ripping apart a can of condensed milk which the 73-year-old said ‘could have been her’

She said the path of the bullet was in line with a table she often sits at, but had luckily not been sitting by, when the bloodbath unfolded

A woman who claimed to be the alleged shooter’s older sister said that Mathurin and his family had threatened her mom and brother prior to the incident.

‘What happened on Sunday was self-defense. (They screamed) ‘We’re gonna kill you! We hate you!’ on numerous occasions. As we’re walking out and they’re coming in or as they’re getting in their vehicle, those are things they’ve said to us’, she said.

‘They tried to attack my sibling,’ the sister said. ‘My brother just didn’t go upstairs just to kill them. We are not problematic people.’

She claims that Pass had gone upstairs to talk to the family about the noise and did not attack first.

The NYPD said Pass had called 311 six times since March 2022 on his upstairs neighbors to complain. Marie revealed that this feud had been going on for four years.
