A delighted Moroccan migrant who thanked President Joe Biden after illegally entering the U.S. is now reportedly homeless and cannot find work in New York City.

The man who identified as Ous, short for Oussama, crossed the border at Lukeville, Arizona, and admitted to multiple media outlets that he wasn’t seeking asylum and instead traveled to seek job opportunities in NYC.

He gleefully said at the border: ‘I love you Joe Biden, thank you for everything Joe Biden I am a good person I want to be a good person here in the United States.’

The 20-year-old is now in the Big Apple and told NewsNation and Border Correspondent Ali Bradley that he is having trouble finding a place to live and cannot work without a social security number or driver’s license.

‘The problem I have is at work. I want to work here legally without violating the law, because I promised you in the video that it [illegally crossing the border] would be the first violation and the last violation,’ he told her.

Ous said he is staying with a friend and wants to find his own place, but can’t afford to without a job, which he can’t get because he doesn’t have a social security number or driver’s license.

In an earlier interview, Ous told Bradley he believed finding work will be easy and he wants to drive Uber in New York. Ous said he wants to file taxes and pay into the system.

‘I’m going to New York City to my friend to help me with something and I will buy new bicycle and I will work Uber,’ he said.

New York City has taken in more than 140,000 migrants since spring 2022, and data shows at least 95,000 migrants have arrived in the Big Apple in 2023.

The city is buckling under the strain of new arrivals and Mayor Eric Adams has pleaded for state and federal aid as it is estimated the migrant crisis will cost the city $12 billion over the next three years.

The former NYPD captain has since been forced to slash the city budget to cope, with $110.5 billion in reductions across the board – including billions taken from important departments like education and policing.

A total of 41,277 people listed NYC as their destination when they crossed the border into the US, according to data from Syracuse University’s TRAC immigration database seen by the Post.

They were handed Notices to Appear in front of an immigration court in the city, which has a legal obligation to shelter those who arrive.

Bradley reported Ous received a Notice to Appear on his own recognizance set for October of 2024 in New York.

Ous said he came to the US because he feels like an American and loves American music, especially Lana Del Ray.

‘When I was five years old, I feel myself I’m an American guy because I love Michael Jackson, Nirvana,’ said Ous.

He told Bradley getting sent back to Morocco was not an option and he would commit suicide if he had to.

At the end of his interview Ous said: ‘Thank you Joe Biden for everything. We love you Joe Biden.

DailyMail.com exclusive reporting found Border Patrol chiefs say there’s a ‘new phenomenon’ of migrants turning themselves in and not avoiding arrest because they know they will be released under Biden administration policies.

The stunning admissions by the chiefs of several border sectors was revealed during testimony before the House Homeland Security Committee.

The committee, led by top Republican Mark Green, is actively probing Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ role in perpetuating the ongoing border crisis.

Green said to DailyMail.com ‘Secretary Mayorkas’ policies encourage lawbreaking to such a degree that record numbers of illegal aliens are actually turning themselves in to Border Patrol agents, expecting to be released, rather than trying to escape across the border uncaught.’

Chief Patrol Agent Aaron Heitke from the San Diego Sector told investigators in May that the rising amount of migrants turning themselves in is relatively new.

He affirmed that the enormous amount of illegal migrants who are ‘giving up’ and not actively trying to avoid arrest is a ‘more recent phenomenon.’

Chief Patrol Agent John Modlin, who operates in the Tucson Sector in Arizona, told investigators that the amount of migrants ‘giving up’ and handing themselves over to agents is in the hundreds.

Modlin said that due to the frequency of ‘large give up groups,’ it is ‘not uncommon now to see a group of 200 to 300 people giving themselves up, and they’re doing it in some of the most remote areas.’

As a result, it is ‘saturating’ border patrol agents in the field and pulling a lot of resources to those areas, he said during a July deposition.

Migrant encounters at the open southern border hit their highest ever single day total last Tuesday, as an astounding 12,000 people flooded across the border into the US.
