This is the horrifying moment a mob of racist thugs in Hull dragged an Asian man out of his car and smashed it up, as riots swept Britain following the Southport stabbing earlier this week.
A video posted to X, formerly Twitter, last night showed a mob of rioters charging towards a grey vehicle in a car park, as they yell the word ‘p***’ at the driver.
Clouds of dark smoke billow and a horn blares in the background as the men approach the car.
One man can be seen pushing a shopping trolley as he rushes alongside other protesters, some on foot and others riding bicycles.
The man filming the video, which was originally live-streamed on TikTok, can be heard saying: ‘Someone is going to get hurt here’.
As the video goes on, onlookers can be heard shouting for police, as a group of men surround the vehicle.
A shopping trolley can be seen mounted on the front of the car, as one rioter, covered by a cap and a bandana around his face, can be seen reaching inside it.
The man recording can be heard explaining that there are ‘foreigners in the car’.
The windscreen also appears to be smashed, and the wipers appear to have been pulled upwards.
However, the group of men, some who have their faces covered, begin to disperse as a squad of anti-riot police holding protective shields arrive at the scene.
The motorist was reportedly dragged out of his vehicle by thugs, before they smashed it up.
Other images on the social platform show that the car had reversed into a fence as it tried to escape the mob.
Also in Hull, cars have been set on fire, the BBC reported.
This is just one of the latest incidents from the riots that have broken out across the UK amid ‘anti-immigration’ protests linked to the far right.
Simmering tensions in the wake of the Southport stabbings have erupted across Britain.
Major violence unfolded in Manchester when a massive brawl was swiftly broken up by officers wielding batons after a man allegedly threw a flare. Protesters tore down fences to hurl at other demonstrators as police put themselves between rival groups.
Footage shows men clutching cups of alcohol shouting and jeering as others jumped into a jumbled fight, each side grappling one another and ripping clothing.
In Nottingham, protesters waved England flags and made gestures at police while in Liverpool, activists hurled bricks and a scooter at police officers as the protests threatened to spill over into all-out violence.
And in Hull, tear gas was deployed against demonstrators who smashed the windows of a hotel housing asylum seekers. Three officers were injured and four arrests were made, Humberside Police said.
More than 35 ‘Enough is Enough’ demonstrations are planned across the UK this weekend, with several counter-protests by groups such as Unite Against Fascism and Stand Up to Racism also set to take place.
Today, 24 rallies are taking place – 22 of which are Enough is Enough protests, one an anti-racist protest and one is said to be a peaceful vigil.
It comes as ministers are expected to hold a group call today to discuss public order.
Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has pledged his ‘full support’ for the police to take action against ‘extremists’ attempting to ‘sow hate’ by intimidating communities as he held emergency talks with ministers over the unrest in parts of England.
Multiple police officers have reportedly been injured while tackling the disorder.
The riots are thought to be triggered by misinformation spread online as to the identity of the teenager suspected of killing Bebe King,six, Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, and Alice Dasilva Aguiar, nine.
Axel Rudakubana, 17, who was born in Cardiff to Rwandan parents, was eventually named as the suspect in a bid to stop the chaos.
Southport locals – including Elsie’s mother – have desperately pleaded for the violence to stop to no avail.
Shadow home secretary James Cleverly said PM Sir Keir Starmer and the Home Secretary need to ‘do more’ to restore public order and ‘send a clear message to the thugs’.
There is a big turnout in Nottingham today, where counter-protesters seem to outnumber the Enough is Enough members.
Over 400 counter-protesters also massed in Cardiff, including Black Lives Matter and Stand Up to Racism, in contrast to a small number of demonstrators.
