This is the moment a hit-and-run driver sent a pensioner flying through the air after ploughing into him as he crossed the road.
Shocking CCTV footage captured the white Audi hitting him and then speeding off without stopping.
It shows the motor turning right into the wrong side of the road as the male pedestrian, in his 70s, is already halfway across.
The car then hits the man, who is flung across its bonnet before being launched into the air and landing on the road.
The car then casually continues to drive off, leaving the man in a heap on the floor.
He was taken to hospital and treated for a head injury, police said.
Detectives in Keighley, West Yorkshire, who are probing the hit-and-run have now released the video clip in the hope witnesses will come forward.
West Yorkshire Police said the incident happened in Lawkholme Lane in the town at around 10.05pm on Tuesday, August 27.
A spokesman said: ‘A white Audi turning on to the road from Cavendish Street collided with a pedestrian, with the driver then leaving the scene.
‘The pedestrian, a man in his 70s, was taken to hospital where he was treated for a non-life-threatening head injury.
‘Police are keen to speak to anyone who was either walking or driving in this area who may have seen the vehicle involved.
‘Drivers with dashcam cameras are also asked to check whether they have captured any relevant footage.’
