A conservative student group at a prestigious California college were left covered in tomato juice after being attacked by a protestor.
Footage of the incident captured at the University of Berkeley on Wednesday shows members of Turning Point USA being doused by the unknown person.
The group had been handing out material alongside the anti-trans poster child Chloe Cole, who underwent a sex change as a child but later regretted it.
The person can be seen throwing the juice over the group’s signage and table, which is covered with badges and posters.
After backing away, they then return to finish the rest of the bottle over the stand – throwing its contents at one man and saying: ‘Good luck getting this stain out’.
The woman recording the person’s antics then steps to prevent more juice being thrown over signs with the Turning Point USA branding.
She says: ‘Can you please not do that, this is our stuff. We are allowed to be here we have a permit.’
The assailant can be heard telling a man off camera: ‘I’m not touching you, I’m grabbing your phone – I am covering the camera.’
The person then asks, ‘why are you here?’, to which the woman responds, ‘because we have the right to be here’.
The tomato juice bottle is then throw into the air while the activist storms off in a tantrum. One man steps in front of the camera and says: ‘Behold the tolerant left.’
Cole posted on her own social media profile, saying: ‘Just got tomato juice thrown at our booth at Berkeley. He drenched a chapter member and his MacBook.
‘You still can’t change your gender, and you can’t expect me to believe someone like this is mature enough to make life-changing decisions.’
She also later added that the person was detained for vandalism and she would be pressing charges. DailyMail.com has approached Berkeley for comment.
Athlete Riley Gaines, who has become a prominent voice in keeping trans women out of women’s sports, chimed in on the footage.
Posting on X, she said: ‘A privileged, unhinged trans pours tomato sauce all over TPUSA chapter members, their promotional materials, and a laptop.
‘It’s almost as if tolerance and inclusion were never the goal. Onward, Chloe Cole and Harrison Tinsley!’
The Conservative commentator Megyn Kelly added: ‘Fake women get upset when the real ones say what’s true.’
Meanwhile one person said: ‘That warrants an arrest for destruction of property and harassment.
‘Further, she should be expelled from the college if she’s a student or fired if she’s an employee.’
Another said: ‘I just don’t know why no one tackled the dude and pinned him to the ground until security came.’
