She soared to fame on Love Island and has made a name for herself as a successful vlogger and influencer.

Yet Molly-Mae Hague swapped the hideaway for the bright lights of Cannes on Friday as she attended the legendary film festival for the premiere of La Plus Precieuse Des Marchandises.

The reality star, 24, was in the presence of acting royalty at the event as she walked the red carpet behind the likes of Helen Mirren and Andie MacDowell.

Yet Molly-Mae – who was invited to Cannes as a guest of L’Oréal Paris – turned heads in her own right as she modelled a glamorous black gown with an exaggerated ruffled skirt.

The high neck garment featured puffed shoulders but was backless to allow a small glimpse at her toned figure.

La Plus Precieuse Des Marchandises (The Most Precious of Cargoes) is an animated fairy-tale set in war-torn times.

It follows a poor woodcutter and his wife who find and rescues a baby girl, bringing irrevocable change to the lives of the couple, and those whose paths the child will cross, as per IMDB.

Molly-Mae’s trip to Cannes follows on from a holiday in Ibiza, where she threw an all-expenses paid bash for her sister Zoe’s hen do, flying herself and her gals pals to the resort island.

However her fans were not happy when she revealed she had purchased her sibling a ticket on the low-cost airline Ryanair, after using a private jet in March to take her best friend on a four-day ski trip in France to celebrate her birthday.

But Molly-Mae refused to take the criticism lying down as she uploaded a video to her YouTube channel addressing the backlash.

The influencer – who shares daughter Bambi, 16 months, with fiancé Tommy Fury – said she ‘can’t win’ no matter what she does and joked she will ‘swim, bike and run’ to her next location to keep her critics happy.

In the video, she said: ‘People talking about how they thought it was crazy that I booked my sister a Ryanair flight to take her on her hen do.’

She continued: ‘They’re like ‘I can’t believe Molly booked a Ryanair flight for her and her sister’s friends when a few weeks before she got her friend a jet.’

Molly-Mae admitted the negative reaction she received would make her think twice about broadcasting a trip like that again.

She said: ‘The amount of stick and the amount of intense comments I got from doing that treat for Taylor’s birthday and getting the jet, made me think I probably won’t ever do that ever again.

‘It takes away that specialness of that experience because the reaction is just, so not worth it.’

She added: ‘Because if I fly commercial, well, it was actually making me feel like I was the worst sister in the entire world. Then, if I fly private, it is genuinely not worth it because it’s all I hear about for that next few weeks.

‘What I’ll do is I will do a triathalon. You will see me swimming, biking and running to my next lecation.’

She finished by saying: ‘There’s so much going on in the world right now? A, why do people even care? and B, you can’t win, you can’t actually win.

‘No matter what I do people are going to comment about it.’
