An Aussie tourist who sparked a major search after mysteriously vanishing in Bali earlier this month has reportedly been found alive and well.

Jackson Parker, 22, from southeast Queensland had not been heard from since 8 November 8 and had not updated his social media.

A massive search was sparked by his frantic parents who were preparing to fly to Bali to hunt for him.

But before his father could board he was found, to the relief of his family and friends.

The news was confirmed by a close family friend.

‘Hello to all…Jackson has been found,’ they wrote on social media.

‘Just in time for Dad to not get on the plane to Bali!’

Previously, his family had launched an urgent call for any tourists in Bali to help find their son, claiming it was ‘extremely out of character’ not to be in touch.

‘We are trying to find a missing n (our son) and hope some of you can share this message and info with anyone in Bali in the tourist industry, hotels, bars, hostels, tourist operators, authorities and anyone you know,’ his father Roly Parker posted to the Bali expats Facebook group.

‘Jackson Parker is listed as missing since November 8th and his family are desperate to find him.’

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) said Mr Parker boarded a flight to Bali on October 30.

Mr Parker’s visa entry said he was booked to stay at Premium Villas Seminyak in the island’s capital of Denpasar, but he did not check in to the accommodation and has not been heard from since.

It is unclear why he had not been in touch with his family.
