‘She sounds so American now’ and ‘Why is she doing an American accent’.
‘Her accent is gone’ and ‘For everyone saying that she doesn’t have her British accent anymore bear in mind that she is currently filming ST5 so she has been using her American accent more recently.’
Millie is in the midst of filming Stranger Things In Atlanta for series five of the science fiction horror series.
In October, the actress, who was 12 when she first appeared on screen as telekinetic Eleven, said in a recent interview that she is ready to say ‘goodbye’ and ‘get out’ after the fifth and final season.
The British star, who is worth an estimated $14 million, reportedly earned $20,000 per episode of the first season, before receiving a hefty increase to $250,000 per episode by season three, according to Deadline.
Playing Eleven has also spurned a handful of major film roles, including the Enola Holmes franchise in which she is said to have received a $10 million pay check for the second installment – setting a reported record for the largest upfront salary paid to an actor under the age of 20.

After Jimmy congratulated her, the actress revealed the unusual way her 21-year-old fiancé Jake (the son of legendary rocker Jon Bon Jovi) popped the question and how it didn’t go quite to plan.
‘Jake and I bonded over diving. We love diving, we got our diving licenses together,’ she said.
‘One day we were on vacation and he was like, “Mil, you’ve got to be up at 8:00 AM we’re going on a dive. And I was like, “8:00 AM? Dive like, what are we…’.
She added Jake told her they were, “going to the same spot we usually go to,” but she suggested, “It’s boring let’s go somewhere new”.
‘He’s like, “No, we have to go to this spot.” So we go under, and we’re like many meters down, and he gives me like a shell. And I turn it over, and it’s a ring,’ she said.
She said they both looked at each other as she mumbled something, mimicking how he sounded in his diving gear but when she showed him her ring, it fell off her finger and plummeted deeper into the water.
‘Jake threw himself into — like, so deep. Like the diver was like, “You can’t do that. Your ears. Literally, you’re brain will explode.” He throws himself, he does a a cinematic like grab, opens, and he saved the ring,’ she said.

‘I truly feel like it’s a a reflection of who he is, and I feel like we’re always going to have each other’s back. And if anyone drops the ball, we got it. So there we go.’
Millie added: ‘We got to the top, and he was like, “Do you want to marry me?” And I was like, “Oh, yeah. I mean, yeah that would be — you should probably ask me.”
The actress told Jimmy how her mother had advised Jake not to propose how he had planned because she thought Millie would drop it.
Millie said: ‘My mum was like, “Absolutely not, Jake. You’re not taking my ring down there. I know you’ll drop it,” and sure enough he did.
‘She was right so when we got up on the boat, he was like, “This is your mum’s ring, and I got it from your parents.” And it was very magical.
‘And his parents were there and we just looked so disheveled coming out from a a dive. We were like, “We’re engaged, but also we have to tell you this crazy story that just happened”.’
