A man shot and killed himself in front of his girlfriend – before she was struck by the same bullet that took his life, cops said.

The incident happened around 4am in Miami Wednesday, at a home on the 11000 block of Southwest 30th Street.

Members of the  Miami-Dade Police Department were seen outside the domicile investigating, though the names of the two individuals have yet to be released.

The unnamed woman was taken to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, officers said – revealing her condition to be stable. Cops said four of her children, all under 21 and from previous relationships, were home at the time, but weren’t injured. 

The two were in a room having a discussion when the man pulled out a gun and shot himself, Miami-Dade police spokesman Alvaro Zabaleta said – before adding that it was the same bullet that killed the man that ultimately stuck her, also in the head.

‘This clearly is a suicide at this point,’ Zabaleta said while appearing for a press conference in the suburban neighborhood.

He added the incident was ‘not necessarily a domestic attempted murder-suicide,’ and that the man merely took his own life and, ‘in the process, almost took his girlfriend’s.’

He concluded: ‘Everything is indicating at this point that the same projectile that impacted his head was the one that impacted the female as well.’

As for the children – confirmed by cops to be a 12-year-old girl, 10-year-old girl, 9-year-old girl and 5-year-old boy from two prior relationships – were seen at the scene being reunited and embraced by family members.

More details about the discussion that may have predated the shooting were not immediately available, though neighbors Wednesday said the incident caught them by surprise.

‘I was really shocked by this happening,’ Neighbor Irene Again told ABC affiliate WPLG, adding, ‘It’s real sad, because the kids are involved.’

Like other interviewed by the outlet, she added that she did not hear the commotion the led up to the fatal gunshot, but saw the pronounced police presence that followed.

Cops, meanwhile, revealed that that the person who phoned 911 made the call at 4:17am, after which first-responders quickly descended on the scene.

‘My mother-in-law called me and she told me we have to come because there is police. We don’t know what happened,’ a woman whose family owns the property and lives in another home on the property told the station.

‘We just rented them the house like ten days ago. I’m scared that you have like guns in the house with little kids and not secure them.’

Neighbor Tamatane Aga, meanwhile, told the outlet how the indecent has left her distraught.

‘It just saddens me greatly to see somebody take God’s will into their own hands,’ she said. ‘Oh my how horrible.’
