The Met Office has issued a yellow wind warning for Scotland and northern England while many other areas will remain dry and mild for the rest of the week.
The warning for Scotland has been put in place for the whole country and is set to begin at 5am tomorrow until 7pm the same day.
A large part of England has also been given a warning which will start at 9am tomorrow until 5pm.
The Met Office warned strong winds will likely cause ‘disruption to travel’ tomorrow with some bus and train services affected and ‘journeys taking longer’ than usual.
Meanwhile, short-term loss of power is also anticipated as the Met Office braces much of England and Scotland for severe winds – with concerns the conditions could damage buildings and represent a threat to lives.

However, while parts of England are set to face severe conditions, the rest of the country should see calmer weather, with lighter breezes and cloudy skies, as well as some drizzly outbreaks in the southwest.
The Met Office said: ‘Strong winds may cause some disruption during Wednesday.’
Residents have been urged to protect their properties and check for loose items in the home in order to secure them. This includes belongings such as fences, sheds, bins and trampolines, which could blow away in strong winds.
Taking to social media, the Met Office wrote on X/Twitter: ‘Say hello to the jet stream. It’s heading back towards the UK for the middle of this week, providing some of us with another windy spell of weather.’
The Met Office added: ‘Very strong southwesterly winds will develop during Wednesday, easing again from the west later in the day. Gusts of 65-75 mph are likely, with a few places perhaps seeing gusts of up to 85 mph at times.’

Windy conditions are expected to last until the weekend, although temperatures should increase before then.
It comes as large parts of England and Scotland are set to endure ‘wintry’ weather in February – with rain predicted to hit cold surfaces and freeze instantly, according to The Mirror.
The freezing rain will happen across Highlands and Perth and Kinross later in the day on Tuesday February 6, as well as into the early hours of Wednesday February 7.
The Met Office described this form of rain as a rare type of liquid precipitation which lands on cold surfaces and freezes instantly.
