Melania Trump said that her husband has a ‘thoughtful’ habit of routinely calling her doctor to check in on her health.
In her forthcoming memoir, Melania, which will go on sale Tuesday, the former First Lady pulled back the veil on her marriage to Donald.
In excerpts seen by the Daily Beast, Melania heaped praise on Donald, hailing him as a kind and extremely solicitous spouse.
In one example of this, she says, ‘Donald to this day calls my personal doctor to check in on my health, to ensure that I am okay and that they are taking perfect care of me.’

Throughout the 184-page book, she makes an effort to prove the public only partially knows her husband.
‘As I got to know him better, I realized the public only saw a part of Donald Trump,’ she wrote.
‘In private he revealed himself as a gentleman, displaying tenderness and thoughtfulness.’
Melania summed up her husband as not ‘flashy or dramatic,’ but ‘genuine and caring.’
The former first lady offered readers other tender tidbits from her nearly two-decade marriage with Donald.
Over five pages, Melania recounted the moment she and the former president met in 1998, when she was 28 and he was 52.
Throughout the 184-page book, Melania made an effort to show that the public only partially knows her husband.
At the time of the encounter, she explained that she had reluctantly accepted a friend’s invitation to a party at the Kit Kat Klub because it was Fashion Week.
Amid the ‘sophistication and camaraderie’ of the venue’s VIP section, she said a man approached her and said: ‘Hi. I’m Donald Trump.’
‘I recognized the name, and I knew he was a businessman or a celebrity, but not much else,’ she remembered. ‘”Hello,” I replied. “I’m Melania.”‘
But Trump wasn’t alone. Melania recounted that he had a ‘beautiful date,’ who is rumored to have been Celina Mildefar, a Norwegian heiress.
Despite finding herself ‘drawn to [Trump’s] magnetic energy,’ Melania said she resisted giving him her phone number.

Undeterred, the former president had his ‘bodyguard’ hand her a ‘sleek business card,’ on which he wrote down two more numbers.
Later, when Melania returned from a modeling gig in the Caribbean, she said she called him because ‘the connection between us was palpable.’
For their first date, she wrote that they toured Donald’s bucolic property in Bedford, which is just north of New York City.
During the tour, Melania said that Trump mentioned that he was in the process of divorcing his second wife, Marla Maples- whom she does not name.
‘I refrained from passing any judgment, choosing instead to enjoy his company,’ she wrote.
‘Our connection was undeniable, and our connection felt natural,’ Melania said of her chemistry with Trump

At another point in the book, Melania took aim at those who call her a ‘gold-digger’ and allege that she married her husband for his wealth.
‘I had earned my fortune and could easily have captured the attention of numerous celebrities if I had so desired,’ she wrote.
She said that upon moving into Trump Tower, around four years into their relationship, she would cook for him.
‘Whenever he had music playing at home, he’d crank up the volume and pull me into a spontaneous dance,’ she wrote, evoking a domestic idyll.
Melania went on to gush about her wedding at Mar-a-Lago with its ‘500 celebrity guests.’
‘He was a bit older than me, but I, at the age of 28, felt an instant connection with him,’ Melania wrote
She noted that Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue, accompanied her to Paris to select her dress.
In her book, Melania briefly touches on her relationship with Donald’s four older children, whose names she only mentions once.
The former first lady wrote that there are ‘intricate dynamics’ at play when it comes to interacting with Donald’s sons and daughters from previous marriages.
‘While I do not agree with every opinion or choice expressed by Donald’s grown children, nor do I align with all of Donald’s decisions, I acknowledge that differing viewpoints are a natural aspect of human relationships,’ she wrote.
