Meghan Markle has been spotted in a Los Angeles park taking part in a photoshoot, spurring rumours of a new collaboration.
The Duchess of Sussex, 42, was caught on TikTok taking part in what fans are now speculating was a shoot for a new ad.
The clip appears to show the royal – who has invested in and worked with various brands over the years – having the sleeve of her tracksuit adjusted by a stylist in Beverly Hills, near popular celebrity-loved coffee spot, Alfred’s.
Eagle-eyed fans have suggested that the ensemble could be a tracksuit from the German sportswear brand Adidas’ collaboration with Beyoncé’s Ivy Park label.
The clip may be hinting at a return of Beyoncé’s partnership with Adidas – Ivy Park – after the 41-year-old superstar and the sportswear corporation made the mutual decision to end the partnership last year.
Meghan would make the ideal partner for the brand, given her longstanding friendship with the Single Ladies singer, with the Duchess even enjoying a fun night out at Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour in California in 2023, despite Prince Harry appearing glum and disinterested.
Femail has contacted Meghan, Ivy Park, and Adidas for comment.
The clip was shared by a stunned user who said they stumbled across Meghan while out on a walk in the area.
‘POV: You casually see Meghan Markle on your Beverly Hills city trail morning walk,’ read a title written across the clip, while the caption added: ‘Spotted near Alfred’s in Beverly Hills…’
As well as speculating that Meghan was shooting for an ad campaign, other TikTok users suggested that she may have been filming for her upcoming Netflix series, a lifestyle-focused project that will see her ‘celebrating the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship’.
In the TikTok video, Meghan appeared in high spirits as she chatted and laughed with the stylist and crew preparing her for the shoot.
The Duchess styled her glossy brunette tresses in her trademark waves as she prepared for the photoshoot. She matched the tracksuit with a pair of casual trainers.
Beyoncé and Adidas began their collaboration in 2018, at which point Adidas took over producing Ivy Park clothing, while Beyoncé also worked on footwear and clothing for the iconic brand.
The news of the business divorce came after the Wall Street Journal reported in February that Ivy Park only did about $40 million worth of business, compared to original expectations of $250 million in sales.
According to THR’s source, Beyoncé and Adidas had battled over creative differences, leading to the expiration of the deal.
However, Meghan, who is also working on the launch of her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, could be the face of Ivy Park’s return.
Given her platform and friendship with the wife of Jay Z, she would likely be a good fit for the clothing brand.
It’s would not be the first time that the royal has crossed paths with Beyoncé, with Queen Bey accepting a Brit Award in 2019 in front of a portrait showing Meghan as a royal version of the Mona Lisa.
In a post explaining why they had decided to put Meghan in the frame, the power couple wrote: ‘In honor of Black History Month, we bow down to one of our Melanated Monas. Congrats on your pregnancy! We wish you so much joy.’
Beyoncé publicly praised Meghan’s bravery after the Sussexes’ bombshell interview with Oprah, during which the Duchess claimed to have been subjected to racist treatment within the Royal Family.
Beyoncé posted on her website: ‘Thank you Meghan for your courage and leadership. We are all strengthened and inspired by you.’
In one episode of their Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex claimed to have received a supportive text from Queen Bey.
She told the camera crew: ‘Beyoncé just texted, just checking in… I still can’t believe she knows who I am…’ She said she wants me to feel safe and protected.
‘She admires and respects my bravery and vulnerability and thinks I was selected to break generational curses that need to be healed.’
The couples previously had a cringe-inducing meeting with the pop megastar and her husband Jay-Z during The Lion King premiere in 2019.
The famous couples met up on the red carpet and engaged in small talk, with Beyoncé reportedly calling Meghan ‘my princess’.
However, things took an awkward turn when the Sussexes spoke to the film’s director Jon Favreau and appeared to ask him if there were any voiceover roles available for Meghan.
Video of the encounter showed Beyoncé covering her face before uncomfortably looking away, with social media users suggesting she was cringing over the exchange.
It comes after Nacho Figueras was the latest high profile figure to show off PR gifts sent by Meghan Markle’s brand American Riviera Orchard.
The professional polo player, who is a close friend of Prince Harry, shared images of jam and dog biscuits, thought to be from the Duchess’ company, via his Instagram Stories.
He is among 50 or so people believed to have received a PR package from the fledgling lifestyle brand soft launched by the Duchess, 42, earlier this year.
An earlier batch of jam, packed in baskets of lemons, is believed to have been sent to some 50 recipients.
This is because the handwritten labels on the jars suggested that the batch contained 50 jars, with each one given a number, for example, number 11 of 50.
The previous jam sent out was strawberry, however, this latest batch is raspberry – and Nacho was lucky to receive the very exclusive new flavour, with his jar bearing a label that read: ‘2 of 2.’
Meanwhile, the dog biscuits were packaged in a large glass jar, also boasting a handwritten label thought to be in Meghan’s cursive script.
The treats, which were photographed next to Nacho’s dog Nina Iggy, are a new addition to American Riviera Orchard’s line-up of products.
Nacho’s post coincided with today’s Trooping the Colour event in London.
This year marks the second year that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not invited to the annual celebration, which marks the birthday of the reigning monarch.
