alert-–-megan-thee-stallion-freaks-out-when-snake-slithers-around-her-crotch-as-she-recreates-britney-spears’-iconic-moment-at-2024-mtv-vmasAlert – Megan Thee Stallion FREAKS OUT when snake slithers around her crotch as she recreates Britney Spears’ iconic moment at 2024 MTV VMAs

Megan Thee Stallion panicked as she recreated Britney Spears’ iconic snake dance while hosting the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards this Wednesday.

Britney famously performed her number I’m A Slave 4 U at the 2001 VMAs with a live Burmese python draped around her neck and over her arms.

She has since recalled being terrified that the serpent would ‘kill’ her if she ‘caught its eye’ as she twirled around the stage that night.

Now Megan has reenacted the moment while hosting this year’s ceremony, appearing with a real python that bore a striking resemblance to Britney’s.

Just as Britney was all those years ago, Megan was frightened of the animal, which began slithering alarmingly around her crotch.

As the show resumed after a commercial break, the VMAs played a clip of Britney’s performance of I’m A Slave 4 U with the python.

Then Megan appeared, decked out in a costume that was an almost exact facsimile of the one that Britney wore during her 2001 snake moment.

There was also a live python winding its way around both of her arms, as the expression of dread on Megan’s face grew more and more pronounced.

‘Okay! Okay! Stop the music, stop the music!’ Megan fretted. ‘I’m just playing. Come get this snake. I don’t know this snake. This snake don’t know me.’

She eventually became so afraid that she let out a protracted squeal of: ‘Oh my God1’ as someone finally prised the snake away from her.

‘I tried to hold it down for Britney,’ she told the audience, earning an appreciative round of applause before she introduced the next presenter, Paris Hilton.

Social media erupted in excitement over the tribute, with fans sharing their hopes that Britney and Megan will collaborate on music together.

One viewer observed: ‘megan being terrified just makes it insane to believe a then 19-year-old Britney Spears managed to pull off performance carrying that snake/ in a cage with a tiger.’

Megan blew through an extravagant array of outfits as she hosted the star-studded awards show at the UBS Arena on Long Island.

Right from the start of the ceremony, she made a splash in a Stars And Stripes bodysuit that allowed her to show off her statuesque figure.

She strutted proudly onto the stage, flaunting her shapely legs and balancing expertly on a towering pair of stilettos.

The bodysuit was splashed with: ‘VMA,’ but in a style that brought back memories of the Team USA Olympic uniforms.

‘I’m from Houston, Texas – shout out to Simone Biles!’ Megan crowed during her opening monologue, joking: ‘She let me borrow this – I just added a few things.’

‘Also though, I wanna give a shoutout to my Hotties,’ said Megan, who affectionately refers to her fans as ‘Hotties’ because of her song Hot Girl Summer.

She then added a sly tip of the hat to ‘my haties, ’cause I know y’all watching too,’ laughing mischievously as the audience applauded.

Later in the evening, she could also be seen decked out in an extravagant floor-length scarlet ensemble reminiscent of 1980s high-camp glamour.

With a plunging neckline that served up a generous helping of cleavage, the top was designed in a corset style to emphasize her hourglass frame.

The top was accompanied by a long matching skirt that flared outward into a collar at the waistline and was lined with buttons down the front.

Amplifying the retro chic tenor of the getup, the skirt came with an extravagant pleated train that was speckled with holes.

Megan debuted the head-spinning outfit after a clip played of Madonna performing Like A Virgin at the first-ever MTV Video Music Awards in 1984.

‘I love me some Madonna!’ Megan trumpeted, before introducing Katy Perry as the winner of this year’s highest VMA, the Video Vanguard Award.

‘The Video Vanguard is the most coveted award at the VMAs, and the last six have been women! Yeah!’ she said. ‘Right now, we’re adding Katy Perry to that iconic list.’

She wore the dress to bring Katy’s longtime fiancé Orlando Bloom onto the stage, where he delivered a glowing testimonial to the award winner.

In addition to being the hostess of the evening’s festivities, Megan was also nominated for seven VMAs – and part of the formidable list of performers.

She sauntered onto the stage to perform a sizzling medley of her hits in perhaps her most eye-catching outfit of the night.

Megan flaunted her physique in a flesh-flashing yellow outfit comprised of straps winding around her body, leaving little to the imagination.

The sleek little bob she had sported earlier in the evening was gone, replaced by a voluptuous Afro, and she danced confidently in a set of go-go boots.

‘Everybody in here tonight need to be on they feet,’ she said as she strolled onto the stage. ‘I go by Megan Thee Stallion, aka the Hot Girl Coach.’

She began the medley with her new single BOA, then integrated pieces of her songs Hiss, Mamushi and B.A.S. into the performance.

Her Mamushi duet partner, Japanese rapper Yuki Chiba, made his VMAs debut onstage with Megan that night, performing in his native language.

Megan was also accompanied by a talented phalanx of backup dancers, including women dressed in red and scantily clad, musclebound men.

At the end of the barnstorming musical extravaganza, Megan enjoyed a warm onstage embrace with Yuki during the applause break.

As the awards show drew to a close, with the final gongs being handed out, Megan modeled one last showstopping outfit to remember.

She hit the stage in a gladiator-themed outfit that included a metallic bra, a matching skirt made of pteruges and a saucy set of above-the-knee boots.

Lending a touch of regal splendor to the proceedings, she accented the ensemble with a fluttering gold cape and a scepter.

The getup was strikingly similar to the one she wore in her new Coliseum-themed Pepsi commercial, a tie-in with Ridley Scott’s upcoming movie Gladiator II.

Megan’s ad, which also stars such famous names as Travis Kelce, aired during the commercial break just before she took the stage at the VMAs in her antiquity look.
