alert-–-megan-fox-is-slammed-for-violating-sag-aftra’s-halloween-costume-rules-after-she-dressed-up-as-a-kill-bill-character-amid-ongoing-actors-strikeAlert – Megan Fox is SLAMMED for violating SAG-AFTRA’s Halloween costume rules after she dressed up as a Kill Bill character amid ongoing actors strike

Megan Fox’s violation of SAG-AFTRA’s Halloween costume rules – in which she dressed up as a Kill Bill character and posted it to social media, tagging the union in the post – was not well-received.

The union earlier this month told members that in solidarity with the ongoing strike, they should avoid dressing up as studio-trademarked characters, so as not to promote their products.

After Fox and fiancé Machine Gun Kelly attended the Casamigos Halloween party in Los Angeles on Friday dressed up as characters from the Quentin Tarantino franchise, a number of Fox’s peers in show business spoke out against the 37-year-old star’s display.

Fox had dressed up as a sexy version of the schoolgirl assassin Gogo Yubari (played by Japanese actress Chiaki Kuriyama), while Machine Gun Kelly wore the yellow jumpsuit of Uma Thurman’s The Bride character, toting a katana sword.

In response to a tweet about the costume, Abbott Elementary actress Lisa Ann Walter, 60, wrote, ‘What a rebel. Keep posturing for stupid s***, pretty lady.’

She continued, ‘Meanwhile we’ll be working 10 hours a day – unpaid – to get basic contract earners a fair deal.’

On the thread of Fox’s post of the costume Saturday, actress Paige McGarvin said that she wished Fox hadn’t posted the pics.

‘I totally understand if you disagree with sag and want to voice that privately / to your inner circle,’ McGarvin said, ‘but using your massive platform to undermine the union and sow seeds of division in an incredibly public way does nothing but hurt our leverage with the amptp.’

Batwoman star Ruby Rose, 37, pointed out a number of sordid scandals surrounding the Harvey Weinstein-produced film franchise that Fox and her beau drew creative inspiration from.

Rose said: ‘Kill bill. Harvey Weinstein. The near end of Uma Thurman and a Car accident cover up that lasted decades… The epitome of the power studios can have over actors?! Or .. ?’

One user said, ‘Yes girl give it to your union trying to get better wages and benefits for lesser known people than u!’

A user took to social media asking of the display, ‘Why is she being defiant to a group that’s literally fighting for her to make a fair wage?’

Another user responded that Fox’s star status made her immune to the key issues at the heart of the labor strike.

‘Because she’s Megan Fox,’ the user said. ‘She’ll make a fair wage regardless. And she’ll pay whatever fine they have imposed for this violation. The strike was for smaller actors who are getting shorted. She doesn’t care about the strike or SAG because it doesn’t truly affect her.’

Big fans: Megan Fox and her fiance Machine Gun Kelly showed their love for Quentin Tarantino’s action flick Kill Bill as they attended the Casamigos Halloween party in Los Angeles on Friday night

The couple — who got engaged last year after less than a year of dating — arrived to the star-studded shindig as two of the film’s most beloved characters: Uma Thurman’s The Bride (pictured left) and Gogo Yubari played by Japanese actress Chiaki Kuriyama (pictured right)

On Friday, the couple — who got engaged last year after less than a year of dating — arrived to the star-studded shindig as two of the film’s most beloved characters.

For her look, Fox had blood running from her eyes and carried Yubari’s meteor hammer that she uses while trying to kill the Bride during the pair’s epic fight scene.

The annual Casamigos Halloween extravaganza is hosted by the tequila brand’s founders Rande Gerber and George Clooney. Though Clooney and his wife Amal were missing from the action, Rande and his supermodel spouse Cindy Crawford were on hand.

Friday night was a rare public sighting of MGK and Megan as they were last photographed together on September 7 during a trip to New York City.

The LA-based couple met while working on the crime thriller feature Midnight In The Sawgrass, which was released in 2021.

The actress was previously married to Brian Austin Green, with whom she shares sons Noah, 10, Bodhi, nine, and Journey, six.

The rapper also shares a daughter named Casie, 14, with his former partner Emma Cannon.

The performers eventually moved on with one another, and the pair became engaged in January of last year.

Nailed it: MGK rocked a bloodied version of The Bride’s iconic yellow jumpsuit and wielded the blonde protagonist’s katana sword

A source recently spoke to PEOPLE and confirmed that Fox and Machine Gun Kelly, who went through a rough patch this past February, had managed to reconcile many of their differences.

‘They have done a lot of work to make their relationship strong again and are back together,’ she said.

The insider added that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles actress ‘seems much happier’ after growing closer to her fiance.

The source went on to state that the couple remained ‘engaged, but are not wedding planning.’
