Disgraced NBC host Matt Lauer’s daughter crashed her car into a fence and a sign and tried to flee – but left her number plate behind.

They spent part of the holiday partying at Kissaki Sushi in Water Mill, as seen on her TikTok video, but by about 4am on July 5 she was on the road in Southampton.
A resident on North Sea Mecox Road was awoken by an almighty bang and called 911 worried someone was seriously hurt in the crash.

By the time local police arrived they found a fence and a sign knocked over but no sign of a vehicle – except for the number plate, a source told the New York Post.
Romy was issued a summons for leaving the scene of an accident, and is being represented by top lawyer Edward Burke, who defended her father.
Romy studies finance at the University of Miami, where she met her boyfriend of one year, Spanish tennis player Antonio Pratt.
However, she appears to spend much of her time going to fancy parties and on lavish holidays with her similarly privileged pals.

Lauer has mostly been hiding out on his farm in New Zealand since he was fired from the Today show over numerous sexual abuse allegations.
He popped up on Romy’s TikTok in 2019 with some cringeworthy dance moves and took her out in the Hamptons for her 18th birthday on October 2, 2021.

There was no sign of her mother, Lauer’s ex-wife, Dutch model Annette Roque, who left him as soon as the sexual assault claims came out.
Roque in 2006 filed for divorce while pregnant with their third child, Thrijs, claiming ‘mental abuse, extreme mental and emotional distress, humiliation, torment, and anxiety’.
They reconciled soon after, and only divorced for good on September 7, 2019.

Lauer was co-host of Today from 1997 to 2017 and contracted to the end of 2018 on a $20 million-a-year salary when he was fired for cause.
Chairman Andrew Lack said at the time that, ‘while it is the first complaint about his behavior in the over 20 years he’s been at NBC News, we were also presented with reason to believe this may not have been an isolated incident’.
Other women soon came forward with claims of sexual harassment, rape, relationships they only consented to out of fear, and one who said he sexually assaulted her in his office in 2001.
‘Some of what is being said about me is untrue or mischaracterized, but there is enough truth in these stories to make me feel embarrassed and ashamed,’ Lauer said in an apology statement.
Former NBC producer Brooke Nevils claimed Lauer anally raped her while the two were covering the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, detailing her claim in Ronan Farrow’s 2019 book, Catch and Kill.
Nevils said she continued an affair with Lauer afterwards, but only because she knew he could ruin her career if she refused.

Lauer admitted to the affair with Nevils, but claimed everything that happened between them was consensual.
He suggested that Nevils only accused him because she was upset that he ended the affair by ghosting her.
Other women came forward after Lauer was fired with more allegations of non-consensual sex and abusive relationships.
‘I fully acknowledge that I acted inappropriately as a husband, father and principal at NBC,’ Lauer said of the various accusations.
‘However I want to make it perfectly clear that any allegations or reports of coercive, aggressive or abusive actions on my part, at any time, are absolutely false.’
