Firebrand Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has accused the Pentagon of being ‘full of crap’ amid mystery drone sightings.

The unidentified objects have been hovering over New Jersey for nearly a month, yet the FBI and the Pentagon say they have no answers as to who is behind them.

Greene told DailyMail.com: ‘I’m gonna call it total bulls*** that no one knows what these are. And I think it’s a slap in the face to the American people to say they don’t know what this is.’

She added: ‘They can track down a guy that just killed a CEO, but they can’t identify what these drones are and where they’re coming from?’

‘I think that is absolutely disgusting to lie to the American people like this, and the truth needs to be told about it.’

Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have no idea who or what is behind the ominous objects flying over New Jersey, leading to outrage and speculation that the U.S. could be under attack.

One lawmaker, New Jersey Republican Rep. Jeff Van Drew, suggested this week that the UAPs could be drones that connect to an off-shore ‘mothership’ being controlled by the Iranian government.

Pentagon spokeswomen Sabrina Singh quickly shot that down.

‘There is no Iranian ship off the coast of the United States, and there’s no so-called mothership launching drones towards the United States.’ She added there is ‘no evidence’ that the UAPs (unidentified aerial phenomena) are ‘the work of a foreign adversary.’

So far the Pentagon has yet to identify what the UAPs are and who is behind them.

When reached for comment about the mysterious phenomena, a Pentagon spokesperson told DailyMai.com they have nothing to share.

‘We don’t have anything new to provide from the DoD on this subject,’ the spokesperson responded in an email.

During a congressional hearing earlier this week on Tuesday an FBI official admitted he was concerned about the vehicles.

When asked if U.S. citizens are ‘at risk’ because of the UAPs, FBI assistant director of the Critical Incident Response Group Robert Wheeler testified, ‘There is nothing that is known that would lead me to say that, but we just don’t know. And that’s the concerning part.’

In a statement given to DailyMail.com, an FBI spokesperson this week suggested that the aircraft are not drones and instead are manned vehicles.

‘Upon review of available imagery, it appears that many of the reported sightings are actually manned aircraft, operating lawfully. There are no reported or confirmed drone sightings in any restricted air space,’ they said.

The FBI official added that they are still investigating the situation with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and New Jersey State Police.

Still, the agency has ‘not corroborated any of the reported visual sightings with electronic detection.’

Former Navy pilot Rep. Mike Garcia, R-Calif., told DailyMail.com the drones clearly have a ‘malevolent intent.’

‘I think it is a malevolent intent of some sort, whether it’s a foreign country or it’s just a private citizen trying to see what they can get away with.’

The lawmaker, who sits on the Space & Aeronautics Subcommittee, admitted he too believes the UAPs are controlled by China.

‘I believe it’s foreign government involvement. I think, you know, the Chinese have a lot to gain by characterizing our bases and figuring out what our security protocols are with these things.’

When pressed on whether the possible drones should be shot down, Garcia hesitated.

‘Now, you have to be very careful when you do that, because some of these bases have sensitive assets that you don’t want. You know, a $500 drone falling on a billion dollar aircraft, right?’

‘So you’ve got to take collateral damage into account, but we’re going to figure it out. We’re going to hold folks accountable,’ he added.

Democrats also expressed unease with the nearly nightly flights over New Jersey.

‘People deserve answers,’ Rep. Eric Swalwell, R-Calif., told DailyMail.com. ‘They should know.’

‘Local law enforcement, if it’s unidentified and it’s over a sensitive space, they should be able to take it out,’ he said of the UAPs. ‘We should be able to defend, you know, our airspace.’

New Jersey Democrat Rep. Mikie Sherrill, a former helicopter pilot, sent a letter to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Thursday demanding answers.

‘Americans, including my constituents in New Jersey, deserve to have confidence that the security of our national defense assets and their communities are being given the appropriate attention, resources, and legal authorities,’ she wrote him.

One GOP lawmaker even expressed concern that the drones could be used to attack President-elect Donald Trump while he is at his New Jersey golf course Bedminster.

‘They say some of these things are the size of a damn small vehicle. And for us not to know, they could drop something out of one of those on the boss’s golf cart over Bedminster,’ Rep. Troy Nehls, R-Texas, told DailyMail.com.

‘You can’t have things like that flying around in our airspace and somebody not knowing where that came from and who launched it,’ Nehls continued. ‘I would highly recommend if anything even gets close to Bedminster we shoot the son of a b**** right out of the sky.’

Another Republican even suggested that the New Jersey phenomena is not a stand alone incident.

‘We’ve had a number of bases with, I guess you’re calling them UAPs, flying overhead. We need to track down what what those are, where they’re coming from,’ Texas Republican Rep. Jake Ellzey told DailyMail.com.

He added that U.S. military bases across the country are no longer safe due to security breaches with drones.

‘No base in the U.S. is safe anymore,’ he continued. ‘None of our aircraft are safe, and we need to take appropriate precautions to ensure that our that our fleet of aircraft throughout the United States at all military bases is obscured and protected.’
