In a new Instagram video, uploaded to her account on Monday, the singer, 54, could be seen gathered around a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, adorned with gold ornaments, alongside her preteens.
While posing for a family photo, Monroe and Moroccan began to plead with their mom not to sing her popular 1994 track, off her first holiday album, Merry Christmas.
As they complained about having to hear her belt out All I Want For Christmas ‘every single time’ they’re near a Christmas tree, Carey said she was ‘just being festive.’

The snappy hit about love and longing at Yuletide was first released in 1994 and it’s been on fans’ nice lists ever since.
This year, the song was streamed 23,701,697 times on Spotify, breaking last year’s record of 21,273,357.
Mariah’s version of All I Want for Christmas was also the Christmas number one on the Billboard Holiday 100 and has spent some 59 weeks on that spot over the year.
The Queen of Christmas was briefly dethroned when Brenda Lee, 79, reached the top of the charts for the first time in six decades when a new video and push for her annual favorite Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.
Mariah was very gracious when the former teen queen took number one, sending her a bouquet of flowers and a sweet note which read, ‘Dear Ms. Brenda, Congratulations on your historic #1. Have a merry Christmas, Love, Mariah.’
Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree has remained steady at number two, followed by Jingle Bell Rock, first released in 1957 at number three.
