However, Hines had a gash on her head that she had sustained in her fall, that has been stitched closed.

‘I feel fine. I want to thank everybody who reached out towards me. I do appreciate it’ she said addressing the audience and viewers.

‘And you guys need to know – I couldn’t have missed this for the world. I couldn’t have.’

Fellow judge Kyle Sandilands chimed in: ‘Show us your gash!’ before explaining Marcia had a cut on her forehead.

She lifted her hair to briefly show the injury, which appears to be on her forehead.

Marcia then explained that she would need to return to hospital following the live broadcast.

‘I got stitches and everything. It is all good. I’m good. I go back to the hospital tonight. I’m going back’ she said.

She had earlier shared a post to the n Idol Instagram Stories where she thanked fans for their well wishes and said she was ‘feeling much better’ .

Hines collapsed in her dressing room on the set of the reality series on Sunday and injured her head in the fall.

A source told Daily Mail Hines was ‘set to perform’ on the show before collapsing and was taken to hospital via ambulance.

Daily Mail was told that Hines was ‘in a stable condition’ after treatment on Sunday night and her collapse was likely due to her diabetes.

She did not appear on n Idol and Guy Sebastian filled in as judge.

Hines shared a statement to her Instagram page on Sunday night.

‘I’m very sorry that I’m not there with you all tonight. It’s been a big few days of work and I was feeling a little unwell. I’m resting up now so I can be back with you all tomorrow night,’ she wrote.

‘You will have spotted that we are missing someone very important and very special to the Idol family. Unfortunately Marcia is unwell and unable to join us tonight,’ she said.

Sandilands then chimed in: ‘Sorry, sorry. That’s a real downplay. She was taken out of here in an ambulance.

‘Just so that everyone knows. She’s fine. She’s well. But she didn’t just ring up with a headache. She went down.’

Hines has been a Type-1 diabetic for almost 40 years.

‘Before I was diagnosed with Type-1 diabetes, my health and my body felt brilliant, but I wasn’t eating properly,’ she told Now To Love in 2017.

‘I was skipping meals. There’d be days when I didn’t eat. I was losing oodles of weight. I was thirsty all the time, and, without being vulgar, I was peeing like a pregnant woman!’

Hines was diagnosed after a dental procedure refused to heal.

‘I wasn’t sick, but I had a procedure done on one of my teeth and it just wouldn’t heal – it just kept throbbing for days,’ she said.

‘I went to the doctor and that was when I was diagnosed with diabetes.’

Hines said she manages her condition with insulin injections and insists, ‘I could have a lot worse things than just diabetes.’

The performer appeared in good health when she attended the opening night of West Side Story on Sydney Harbour on Friday.

Hines previously said she was delighted to return to the judging panel for n Idol in 2024.

She appeared on the singing competition as a judge during its first seven seasons, and she’s taking her seat at the table once again.

‘I was surprised and delighted because I really love that gig. I don’t know if people realised how much it meant to me,’ she told the Daily Telegraph.

‘Why? Because like me, they just want to sing, they want to find a career in singing,’ the pop star added.

Hines was one of the original judges on Idol when it debuted Down Under in 2003.
