Marcia Hines has broken her silence after collapsing in her dressing room ahead of part one of the n Idol final on Sunday night.

The judge, 70, was rushed to hospital after she collapsed on the set of the reality series and injured her head in the fall.

Following the incident, Hines shared a post to her Instagram page and revealed she is planning to return to Monday night’s final show.

‘I’m very sorry that I’m not there with you all tonight. It’s been a big few days of work and I was feeling a little unwell,’ she wrote.

‘I’m resting up now so I can be back with you all tomorrow night.’

A source told Daily Mail , Hines stayed in hospital overnight for observation but is expected to released this morning.

Her collapse was due to her diabetes.

She did not appear on n Idol on Sunday and Guy Sebastian filled in for her as a judge.

Hines is a judge on the singing show alongside Amy Shark and Kyle Sandilands.

Host Ricki-Lee Coulter told viewers that Hines would be absent at the start of Sunday’s episode.

‘You will have spotted that we are missing someone very important and very special to the Idol family. Unfortunately Marcia is unwell and unable to join us tonight,’ she said.

Sandilands then chimed in: ‘Sorry, sorry. That’s a real downplay. She was taken out of here in an ambulance.

‘Just so that everyone knows. She’s fine. She’s well. But she didn’t just ring up with a headache. She went down.’

Hines has been a Type-1 diabetic for almost 40 years.
