A man is fighting for his life in hospital after being rescued from a car involved in a multi-vehicle crash.
Several cars collided with a coach just after 3pm on Friday afternoon near Staples Corner on London’s North Circular Road.
Firefighters freed a man trapped inside a car before he was treated on the scene by paramedics.
He was then rushed to a hospital where he remains in a ‘critical’ condition.
The serious incident has left part of the A406 eastbound closed in Brent, north west London.

Police and ambulance services were called to the major incident on A406 at around 3pm on Friday afternoon
Metropolitan Police advised drivers to avoid the area and warned of ‘significant delays’ for some time.
A spokesperson for the force said: ‘Police were called at 3.07pm on Friday, 15 March to reports of a collision on the A406 at the A41 in NW2 [just after Brent Cross].
‘Officers, London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service attended. At the scene a coach had been in collision with a number of other vehicles.

‘A man, no further details, was trapped inside a car. He has been freed by LFB and after being treated at the scene was taken by LAS to a north London hospital where his condition is critical.
‘The A406 eastbound has been closed from The Staples Corner and motorists are advised to avoid the area as long delays are expected.
‘Anyone with dash-cam footage or information should call police on 101 or post on X @MetCC quoting 4423/15MAR.’
