A man has taken people inside a house that he bought off Amazon after it was delivered to his doorstep.
Last month, Jeff Bryant, 23, of Los Angeles, decided to purchase a prefabricated, one-bedroom mini-home off the online marketplace for just under $27,000.
‘B**ch I didn’t even think twice about it, I just did it!’ he admitted in an initial TikTok video about the buy.
‘I don’t even know where I’m going to put the house!’
Jeff Bryant, 23, of Los Angeles, revealed the prefabricated mini-home he’d bought on Amazon for just under $27,000
He gave viewers on TikTok a tour of the new abode. Pictured above is the outside with some good-sized windows
On January 29, the house arrived at a temporary storage site at 8 a.m.
In one of his video captions, Jeff described the set-up process: ‘5 guys and 27 minutes later… IT’S HERE.’
‘I have not bought the land yet, I wanted to see how big it is.’
When he did figured out a permanent location, he added the Amazon team would break it down, transport it over, and set it back up.
He mentioned that he forked out $750 for the temporary storage situation, and would be charged $150 each additional week he left it there.
Jeff also gave a shout out to an Amazon specialist named Karina, who he revealed followed him on TikTok and ‘said she loved me.’
Consequently, Karina gave Jeff a few free upgrades, including a different-colored exterior, larger square footage, and some free furniture, including two couches.
‘So, mwah! Kisses to you, Karina!’ the new homeowner said appreciatively.
Jeff then proceeded to walk all the way around the house, showing off several windows and the exterior hardware supporting the indoor plumbing.
As a ballpark estimate based off Jeff’s TikTok, the house appeared to span about roughly 600 square feet, with low ceilings.
After walking around the exterior of the house, Jeff ventured inside
Just inside the front entrance was a living room, attached to the kitchen area
He was greeted with a few pieces of furniture that an Amazon specialist had thrown in with his purchase for free
The kitchen, with built-in cabinets, was still enveloped in plastic wrap as Jeff gave a tour
Jeff said that he did ‘like’ the bathroom (left) overall. Pictured right is a glimpse of the shower
The bathroom also came with a mirrored medicine cabinet over the sink
Jeff’s one hang up about the bathroom was a drain in the floor, between the toilet and the sink
In the bedroom area was a second couch (pictured) he’d gotten for free in pale pink
Amazon sells a variety of tiny home models, with prices starting at around $3,500 depending on the model, size, and interior amenities
Heading inside, Jeff showed off one of the couches Karina gave him, with the piece situated in the living room.
Connected to the living area was a snug kitchen, still enveloped in plastic wrap.
Next, Jeff showed off the compact bathroom, which included a toilet, sink and standing shower – as well as a mirrored medicine cabinet over the sink.
‘I like the bathroom – but I don’t like that,’ Jeff added, focusing on a drain in the middle of the floor, between the toilet and sink.
‘Everything is like, plastic-fake marble,’ he observed.
Speaking more generally, he further noticed: ‘The ceilings are very low y’all, I’m not gonna lie.’
‘I’m 5’8″ – the ceilings are not to high,’ he emphasized, reaching up to show he could easily touch the ceiling with an outstretched arm.
He then displayed the other couch Karina had gifted him, which was in a shade of pale pink.
‘Listen, Karina, I don’t know if you’re trying to be shady sister… but pink?’ Jeff quipped.
Viewers flooded the comments to applaud Jeff on becoming a homeowner
In a follow-up update, Jeff revealed he was planning to convert the mini-home into an Airbnb rental.
‘I’m not gonna live here,’ he clarified.
‘About the electrical, the plumbing and everything, I have all that set up. I just really want to get the permits in hand first, to move everything and start getting everything situated.’
Jeff also admitted that he wasn’t going to keep the two free couches.
‘I don’t like them. I actually hate them,’ he confessed.
The homeowner then explained that he was going to get the walls ‘drywalled.’
Viewers flooded the comments section of the reveal video with praise for Jeff’s new house.
‘”I got my house from Amazon y’all” you will forever have the best conversation starter,’ one applauded.
‘”The house is here” is a wild statement,” a second quipped.
‘You’re officially a homeowner. Congratulations,’ a third cheered.
‘I can’t lie I would buy land and purchase this for my daughters to have their own space and slowly release them into the real world,’ a fourth mused.
A fifth shared an even more idealistic proposition based on the notion: ‘People are joking in these comments but you could get land with a group of people and build a sustainable community.’
Bryan later reflected on the major purchase to Newsweek.
‘I purchased this home because I thought it was different and not a lot of people have purchased this – especially young people,’ he said.
‘When they get a lot of money, they tend to do crazy stuff with their money.’
