An affluent inner-city Melbourne suburb has been rocked by the death of a man found lying in a driveway moments after gunshots were heard.
Emergency services were called to a home in Linden Avenue, Ivanhoe, about 6pm on Tuesday, following the grim discovery.
The man suffered critical injuries and couldn’t be revived.
He is yet to be formally identified.
The cause of death is yet to be determined and is being treated as suspicious.
It’s understood the man’s neighbours heard an altercation and gunshots beforehand, Channel Seven reported.
A dog walker made the grim discovery in the driveway of a block of townhouses.
Photos show the street cordoned off from the public as detectives and forensic officers examined the crime scene.
A SES tent was erected near where the man’s body was found.
No arrests or charges have been made at this stage.
